I'm at a loss at my metabolic/digestive profile. I can maintain a lot of muscle and strength on eating less than 2000 calories. I've been maintaining my level of strength and size (~235lbs) but continue to get water bloat with most likely around 1500-1800 calories a day. I know I need to eat more.
I'm kind of curious to get some blood work and see something of a profile that I can understand.

I think you nailed this one. You basically just summed up the Vertical Diet by one of Ben Packs bodybuilder mentors. Do you listen to the Muscle Expert podcast? It was a June episode, but essentially he works with people to not only gain muscle but also to relieve gut irritation. It’s worth a listen for HFP’s predicament.

I don't know I listen to a lot of podcast that stan has been on, the author of vertical diet.

Look up Goodybeats and Jason Wittrock on YouTube, also Keto Savage. They all have Cutting/bulking plans and are strict keto.
