Is there a decently priced fitness watch on the market? I’m looking at getting one but have never been into fitness or watches for matter of fact.
Wanting to start tracking my steps, heart rate and whatever else one may track.

Apple Watch gets my vote. Can find a lower end model for $200ish.

Was going to start this thread but mine is for my 12 y/o daughter who does not have a device. My wife has an Android. Would a Garmin watch be able to sync with that to track her runs or what is the best option for her?

My sons 10, no phone, and uses a Fitbit. He seems to enjoy it.

Garmin makes the Vivosmart and Forerunner 55 for under $200 that do all you are asking. Forerunner has a built-in GPS if you want that with a few more capabilities than the Vivosmart.

Can those connect to strava? She just got that and all her teammates use it

I have a Garmin watch. I have it set up so once I complete any activity, it automatically goes to Strava as well.

I did some research for mine.
Apple Watch seemed like the best smart watch.
Garmin seemed like the best fitness tracker but expensive.
I found the best watch for me that was moderately priced was the Fitbit Charge 5.

My son runs cross country and wore a fit bit all summer. I had bought him a Garmin but he didnt want to wear it because it was too big he said. Fitbit is the cheapest option and she will probably actually wear it.

Careful with that. A running podcast I listen to that is hosted by some physical therapists has a hypothesis that young runners are getting injured more often because they all have Strava and want to one up each other.

It's not a watch, but I've been using a Whoop. I enjoy it.

What about the Garmin Forerunner 165? It looks to be reasonably priced.
