Does sodium intake matter if you consume over 100 ounces of water a day?

Just curious on the board's opinion on this. I saw it in an article the other day.

Anything you consume should be in moderation, water or sodium.

100 ounces isn't that much, especially if you are sweating a lot. Unless you are on medications that strip sodium or have kidney issues, supplementing isn't needed. If you are concerned about it, you can get lob work done now and again in a few months to check your electrolytes.

I may be wrong but I've read on a few articles that your body will get used to the increased sodium. Cutting sodium will increase aldosterone which will cause more water retention and sodium reabsorption. That no matter what you do, intra and extracellular sodium levels will stay at a constant 70/30 ratio no matter what you do.

If you drink 100 ounces of water a day and increase your sodium intake, you should consider installing a urinal next to your bed.

I wouldn’t stress too much about sodium as long as it’s not a Chinese buffet every meal

You can always take Potassium which counterbalances your sodium
