Almost that time of year. How do you deal with the overnight influx of newbs? In your experience when does it die down? February? March certainly

To clarify it’s not the “newb” status that bothers me. It’s the massive influx of people, “newb” or not.

Aka chubby chaser szn. I just plan to spend a little bit longer time at the gym. Not that concerned tbh. Plus, if there’s any lady resolutioners there, they prolly want the added attention to help boost their confidence.

I go to a CrossFit gym so it doesn't really affect us so much. We so get an influx of new people but I welcome them and hope we get committed members.

Go at 5 am. The non-committed will never be up that early.

Thank them for coming in and keeping your gym open.

I begrudgingly put up with them knowing that in three weeks I'll never see them again. But yeah, they are a pain in the arse.

Everyone is a "newb" at some point. At least they are attempting to better themselves. Don't be that douche that judges other gym goers

embrace them, they are trying most quit because they are intimidated or dont know what to do, offer help. Be the reason someone changes their life
