Progressions are going well. After doing keto for a month and a half I’m down 10 lbs and weighed in at 168 this morning. Lifting numbers haven’t really taken a hit at all.

Flat bench @ 245: 2x5, 1x8
Hex DL @ 330: 1x7...my deadlifts have shown the most improvement lately.

Considering switching my GSLP format to 5 day. Something like M-squats, T-bench, W-DL, Th-press, F-bench+squat. All days would have accessories worked in. Feel like it would shorten my workouts. Any thoughts on that format? Just kind of looking for more consistency in my morning routine since right now I’m only waking up MWF.

Strongman for fun.

Worked up to farmers walks with 250 lb per hand.

Supersets x2 of KB waiters walks and 60 LB sledgehammer shovels.

Tabata to finish. 4 rounds of 200 LB sandbag cleans and 4 of 16 LB sledgehammer swings. Still lightheaded and hacking from that.

Bloodflow restriction calves to finish.

355x3 on Deadlift on Monday. Probably had 385x3 in me, but I’m taking it slow.

3x3 on bench tomorrow and I hope to push 290.

Full chest workout on Friday.

Another leg day on Monday.

Was able to do 135x10x3 again and it felt much better. Will probably bump up to 155 next time out. Isolated hammy curls and quad extensions suck. So my left leg is definitely still very far behind.

Deads yesterday went well. Hit 135x10 easy again, so bumped up to 185x8ishx2. Form was shaky toward the end of the set but everything feels good today. Probably won't go much over 185 til I can comfortably hit it x10.

Ended up with 275x3 on the final set.

3 were no problem so 285-290 was probably where I should have been, but I hate pumping out 3 sets in 7:30 or less, especially when I’m aiming to go 80-85% of my 1RM.

But, are you 5'11", 165 lbs, and have your cutoff shirt with the sleeves cut down to a sliver above your waste line cause those guns just won't fit otherwise?

Purpose of putting plates under deadlift?

About to put 10kg plates under deadlift bar to see if it feels more natural. Thinking it may help since I have poor range of motion in my hips and ankles. (Obv not a solution) but want to see if it will help.

Putting plates under the deadlifts are caller block pulls. It’s a deadlift variant that focuses on glute and hamstring activation.

Use a 25 kg plate instead. Then you’ll really feel it.

ETA: Another variant, called the deficit, requires you to stand on an elevated position and deadlift. It’s a big ball buster for your legs. I used to take two 25 kg plates, lay them side by side, and deadlift. My quads would be on fire.
