Late workout so I scaled back to just BP and OHP.

This week I hit my 2024 PR's in back squat 350, bench press 270, and OHP 150. I'm completely over that pinched nerve that fricked up half my year. I'm going to have to buckle down on deadlift now as it's lagging behind.

I like that progression on the compounds. Messed my back up Monday, but it’s easing up. Hoping I can hit bench tomorrow and get back to squatting Tuesday.

Wanted to lift today but after walking around my gym for a few moments during my lunch break I knew that there was no way in hell that I wasn't going to be late when getting back to work. Plan is to move up workout time earlier tomorrow in hopes that the holiday crowds are less dense.

Side note: It looked like a bunch of kids home from college, literally every squat rack and bench was being occupied.

Yesterday - by myself, I drug a 165lb deer 0.2 miles through the woods with multiple ascents, over a down tree, through 100 yards of mud, and into the back of a truck

Toughest workout I've had in a long time.

Then worked chest and triceps this evening.

Welp, my back apparently still isn’t ready for squats. Made it through warmups, but the body said no working sets.

Leg Ext 205x12, 12, 10 +llp

Calf Press 310x15, 12, 13

Ditched hip adduction as well, since it was tweaking my back. Not much got done today, but I’ll just hit upper body harder, and push on lower accessories until my back is stable again.

Day 1 PHAT modified
I’m using kinobody’s reverse pyramid for main lifts on power days. 5,6,8. 6,8,10 on hypertrophy days.
Bench 335,315,295. I didn’t drop 10% each lift like kinobody recommended. That’s too big of a drop for 9rpe.

6-10 rep ranges for lat pull-down (160)
6-10 rep for cable rows (160)
Chest dips 3x10 BW
Seated row 3-5 (160)
OHP 185 x6, 165 x8,, 155 x 10
Skull crushers with 40s
DB curls 35s
