at 155 its a grind

if i do doulbe DT ill do it at 95

power clean 225-230


the clean ladder is did yesterday was 12 mins AMRAP at 20 at 115/ 15 at 155/ 10 175/ remaing time max reps at 210

i was gased at 210

Worked up to 305 on DL.

I'm still battling chest congestion so I went easy on the AMRAPs.

B) 3 2-min rounds: 20 Russian KB swings (70/53), Max Cal Row in remaining time. 2 min rest between sets. Score is total cals

A) 365
B) 77Rx

Wanted 385 for the 3 singles but wasn’t feeling it.

Last round of B sucked arse: 30 cals, 26 cals, 21 cals. Got to the rower 10 secs later in R3.

Another grind HIBB workout, i had to modify and scale some of it bc well this was some shite an elite level crossfit athlete would be smoked from

21 round EMOM
Min 1 15/12 cal on the row
Min 2 15 overhead squats at 95lbs, so yea frick that modified it to 5 back squats at 135lbs
Min 3 15 toes to bar, by the end i was luck to get 10

10 min rest

10 round EMOM

10 deaflifts at 60% 1 rep max

frick all that i did 185lbs bc my 60% is around 275

and i still struggled with 10 reps at 185lbs

Wanting to buy a slam ball but have no clue what weight I should get. Anyone have advice on how to determine what would be a good weight for me to buy?

July 4th workout..

Turned out to be Teams of 4 with 50 people showing up at 9

30 min

2 teammates run 2 laps
2 teammates AMRAP: 1 Rope climb, 7 Thrusters 135/95, 7 Burpees, 6 Box Jumps 24/20

Switch when teams finish the run, but each group of 2 keeps track of their own rounds and picks up where the left off previously.

9+2 Rx

Run sucked! It was supposed to be teams of 2 with only 1 lap, but it was modified when 50 showed up since the gym has only 10 ropes to climb.

The class WOD today was a bunch of slow core work, it's supposed to be a recovery day after July 4 WOD but I didn't do that so I wanted to lift, and I couldn't make it to classes today anyway so I did my own thing. Technique work. Came up with this on my own so if it's shitty, whatever it's a one-off I sweat my arse off anyway.

Warmup
-5 minute row
-stretching and rollout (quads, adductor, perfect stretch, thoracic rolling, thoracic extensions on roller, hang from bar for 30SECx3)
-Snatch warmup (OH Squats, Sit in bottom of OH squat, Sots press, snatch warmup sets)


Snatch
EOMOMx5 Complex do not let the weight touch the ground during complex (95lb):
-Snatch pull to knee, full snatch pull, hang power snatch, full power snatchx2

Jerk
135x3 3 sets power jerk, 2min rests
155x1 3 sets power jerk, 2min rests



Looking back, 155 was a litttttle light for singles. I'm getting stronger.

Yesterday was interesting. 100 Russian swings for time. 70 lb.

Every time you break 10 burpees.

We don’t swing Russian often. Started w the idea to do 4x25. Got to 25 and felt great. Thought what the hell, go for them unbroken.

Wrong. Got to 50 and knew I wouldn’t make it, I also knew that I couldn’t do the next 50 in one go. Essentially I screwed myself as my right forearm was absolutely wrecked. Finished w 23 and 27. 6:48

I went so slow on the last rd if burpees I should be embarrassed but I had to get my grip back

Back on the HIBB after a much needed rest day

Straight crushed it today

5 rounds 4 mins a round
3 arse to grass back squats at 225lb then row 500 meters

5 min rest

25 round EMOM
Max effort on everything
Min 1 KB swings
Min 2 Push press
Min 3 double unders
Min 4 push ups
Min 5 rest

Then did some accessory leg work


Also the metcon 5 is by far the best CrossFit/gym shoe out there
