Do any of you guys have current instock sources for old school iron plates without holes?
Like these:
LINK

Everything I am finding currently are either bumper plates or the crappy safety plates that are different outside diameters compared to standard Olympic plates or standard bumper plates . Facebook , Craigslist etc only have overpriced junk available these days

Rogue has been restocking them every now and then. You just need to start getting on the in stock alerts because there is a famine for gym equipment right now. It was a pain in the arse to get everything I needed.

Minor comment, most people are going to benefit from bumper plates if you’re doing a garage gym. Won’t get worn out and only some really strong mfers ever outgrow the space on the bar with bumpers.

Good call. Ideally I'd get at least 1 pair of 45's that are bumpers and everything else could be steel plates. I've signed up for email notifications on several of the rogue options :fingerscrossed:

I ended up ordering (2) pair's of 45's, (1) pair of 25's and (1) pair of 10's in the Rogue Echo 2 bumper plates today. This shite adds up when shipping is factored in.

I also ordered an Elitefts SSB yoke bar yesterday . I guess there's no turning back now with this garage gym

I'll have to wait to order more 45's. I'll definitely get metal for those if pricing ever calms down .

What'd you end up paying for these?

the 45's were $130 per pair, but it was $96 to ship 2 pairs. I ended up ordering the other sizes right after

These plates sell out in a couple of minutes of becoming available so I was in hurry to get the transaction completed asap. I actually missed out on some other plates earlier this week that were in my cart but didnt complete the transaction quite fast enough. Im glad those fell through because the Echo's were the ones I really wanted

Well shite. I guess I'll have to set up notifications for in stock plates. I'm just starting to put together my home gym and it's been pulling teeth to find anything in stock that isn't absurdly priced.

Sweet. This is what I was originally looking for. I’ll most likely get these for metal 45 pound plates, but might need to wait a little bit due to blowing my budget on an SSB

I’ve been reading through some of your old threads on suggestions for home gyms. You know your shite

Did you ever move yours to your new building?

I’ll be building a new house within the next year and am planning to use the third bay of a 3 car garage for gym use

Right now I am building still. Staying at inlaws and only have KBs and rings.

Will be moving in hopefully around May. I am gonna buy 2 new racks and redo some of my stuff. Hoping to switch to the new rogue deep dish metal plates and get more echo bumpers.

Echo’s are great. You’ll be happy with them. I have a mix-match of echo’s and HG’s because I just had to get what I could when I could. Definitely prefer the echo’s as the HG’s take up a lot of room on the bar and I’ll probably have to buy a pair or two of iron plates by the middle of next year.
