Welp, it's been nice knowing you guys. I might not live
Seriously though when the announcement came I literally asked myself 'what did I just get myself into'

I don’t think it’s going to be terrible. 20 minutes will go by fast. Your grip will go before your cardio. At least that’s what I think will happen to me.

My left shoulder is going to fall off

That is a long workout, but I like it.
Likely starting in the 3rd round I will go to 2 sets of 4 on toes to bar.

Yeah. Tuesday included 3 rounds of 15 ttb, which I did kipping knee raises. By round 3 I was doing two reps at a time and barely kipping anymore, my grip was done.
The scaled WOD is hanging knee raises and a 35 lb db. It'll suck but not the worst wod I have done, I don't think. Without kipping the knee raises shouldn't be so bad.

We did a partner relay workout the other day.
10 RFT (alternating rounds with partner)
6 DB snatches
6 Cleans
6 Thrusters
6 Front Rack Lunges
..with 50lb DBs. My forearms were dead after it.

I’m contemplating mix grip single toes to bar. I don’t think stringing them together is sustainable for that long.

I have this problem on TTB where if I need to do a set of, say 20, and, after I drop down after stringing 10 together, when I jump back up, I struggle to string 2; it’s not a fatigue issue, either.
I’ll go for all 8 reps strung together as long as I can before breaking them up.

For elite crossfitters it’ll be sustainable. Guys like us will need to be smart about breaking them up while still being efficient during the WOD

301 rx. Make sure you use mostly your legs on the row an pace it to catch your breath. Go ham on the t2b and dB c&j.

That’s a good score. How were the C&J? Did it get your back any?

It wasn’t bad at all, if you can string t2b then the workout isn’t that difficult.
Just need to find a pace and stick with it since it is such a long Wod.
You’re gonna use a lot of grip/forearm/bicep with the t2b and c&j so try to relax those muscles on the row and push hard with your legs there.

256 reps RX (8 rounds exactly)
I agree, it wasn't terrible. Stick to a good pace. That's my weakness on long wods, I get too amped at the beginning and die halfway through. I stuck to a petty solid pace throughout this one.
Never broke up the TTB or C&J but what slowed me down was being too lax on the row- although conditioning isn't my strong suit so I pretty much had to or else I would've red lined.

My better half went this morning and finished with 207 reps. She said it was the t2b that slowed her down the most.

My workout partner did it this morning and scored 318.
I'm hoping to break 250. The T2B and rowing should be fine for me. I'll probably break the T2B into 4-4 each round.
I'm just worried about getting good reps on my left side.

I’m going to try to get to the 7th rd. I am too heavy for ttb to not beat me down. I’ll spend a lot of time staring up at that damn bar

I haven't the slightest clue what I'm going to get to. I'm just going to go bust my arse for 20 minutes and use some coins to keep count of rounds so I don't completely lose track of reps.

I gotta wait 4 more years for Masters, dammit.
For now(Since I can't do toes to bar correctly)
