A bunch of the food I've been eating lately has MSG (almost all seasonings). I've heard bad things about MSG but have also heard its nothing to worry about. What are yalls thoughts on MSG?

Old science was garbage. It makes everything taste delicious.

I saw an interesting show about MSG where they had a bunch of Americans saying Chinese food gave them excruciating headaches because of the supposed MSG. It was proven completely false.

It occurs naturally in a lot of foods. I wouldn't recommend eating spoonfuls of the stuff but refined sugar is a lot more detrimental to health than a sprinkle of Accent here and there.

If you feel comfortable salting your food you should have no issues using MSG. It is to be used like salt as well. Just like salt, too much of it is not a great thing, but it moderation it is a great food enhancer. Of course like all food additives some people will have sensitivity to it, but that is to be expected

MSG already naturally occurs in a lot of the foods you eat so you are likely digesting it daily and do not even know it

I use the 2Gringos all-seasoning when making air fryer potato wedges and it tastes amazing.

Nothing wrong with it. The bad things we have all heard was based upon bad information that perpetuated through the nutrition community decades ago without any testing
