If y'all are on here, congrats. I saw a few different sweet LSU race suits today, and heard a few other Baton Rouge finishers called.

I didn't race. Little brother finished 6th in age group. Chattanooga is a great place for this event. I got to hit some great trails on Friday.

Chattanooga is a great town. Period. Very active community. Great bars and restaurants. The river runs right through the middle of it all.

Raced last weekend in Chattanooga and loved the city. A total gem. Bike course was fantastic, but melted on the run. Would come back in a heartbeat.

it was a beautiful day but it got HOT in the sun after about 11am (as you well know).

congrats! awesome accomplishment. i'm starting the piddling phase of training for my first tri now. i was inspired by the event.

my brother came bolting around the corner at the 7.1 mile turn feeling great and was energetic enough to spare a high-five. he said he hit a wall shortly after that. he still finished the run in 01:31:31 (04:39:52 total--6th in 35-39 div)--only his second official tri, and he cut an hour off his first (also an IM 70.3).

i hate him.

eta: and yes I love Chattanooga. We live in Atlanta and as long as i leave here around 10am, it's 1.5 hr drive. we normally spend the whole summer in MT (with other western stops), but i've been looking to move our southern base to a better town than Atlanta. I would totally live in Chattanooga. Great folks. People actually look at you and say hi when you pass. I did some trail runs the other day in the urban wilderness, and the people I passed were all so nice.

We are thinking Knoxville though. 15 miles of basically continuous paved greenway from west to east, leading to 500-ac urban wilderness with 50 miles of trails. plus GSMNP in back yard. And the same river as Chat, obviously.
