Club 4 Fitness in Lake Charles is Taking a Beating...

Club 4 Fitness in Lake Charles is taking a beating on FB right now. They've turned off the comment section on their page.
Apparently, over the last few weeks multiple people have been kicked out and memberships canceled for "personal training" others there, which is not allowed.
From what I understand, the first couple kicked out was a husband and wife working out together and they accused the husband of being a personal trainer, and were asked to leave, and that their memberships would be canceled.
The second incident is similar, but it was a guy and girl who are friends working out together; the girl who is in good shape helped the guy out with his form on an exercise and the staff approached them and told them basically the same thing about not allowing personal training and canceling their account.
A post was made about the most recent incident, and now has about 500 comments of people shitting on Club 4, other gyms offering them free memberships, and others posting their terrible experiences at Club 4. One girl said one of the staff members kicked her off the leg press so he and his client could use it, saying "I wasn't asking you, I was telling you that we are using it now".
The general manager has been tagged and called out multiple times on the post, and had to block a bunch of people shitting on him as well.
Its quite the shite show, and is hilarious. The guy in question does kinda seem like a douche. What I find funny is that he will not approach the customers himself, but will have a staff member do so. And he sure isn't calling out the multiple groups of guys with 500 on the squat rack together or 400 on the bench while working out together.

That’s a shame. That gym started here in the Jackson Metro Area and I’ve been a member since it opened here in Flowood. I love it here.

Yeah I haven't had a bad experience there. I've been with them for almost a year now, but I keep my Anytime membership as well in case I'm out of town.
I've never felt any sort of intimidation from staff or other members. Except this one time some very fit, attractive college aged chick was there working out in a cut off shirt with her entire midriff showing, and no bra. I was utterly disgusted.

I do know they had to send a manager from my gym there for a couple of weeks bc of staffing issues and complaints. I wonder whats going on there

I would have raised hell over that.

Yeah they would have definitely canceled my membership had a staff member try to kick me off of a piece of equipment I was using so that their client could use it, especially in the manor he supposedly did it. He would have gotten a swift "go frick yourself" from me.

Been to the new project fit yet?

I haven't but I'm considering checking it out. Like I said, I haven't had any issues at Club 4, but if they decide to frick with me, I may check Project Fit out, just to see what they got going on over there. Only reason I joined Club 4 is because its only like $14/mo.
Now that I think about it, Project Fit might be part of my health insurance network, and would be included in the $30/mo I pay for Anytime/Planet/Dynamic Dimensions/etc.
I've never been to Planet either, but its included in my insurance.

none other than 1000 people being in there all hours of the day

In the year I've been a member, I can count on both hands the amount of times I wasn't able to get the machine I want. But I go at 11am, not 5pm like most people. Sure there is a little crowd, but I find it usually spacious enough, and enough equipment to not have to worry much about not being able to do what I need to do.

I can agree with that

Never been to club 4 as it post dates my garage gym, but was a member of Project Fit before that. The owner of PF is a wonderful person. She used to run boot camps that we would do in the off-season for high school sports way back in the day. I really liked the old Project Fit and I’m sure the new one is better with the extra space they’ve now got. The big drawback from the old one was space and equipment availability, but I never had someone once kick me off of a machine while using it even though it was a “trainer-oriented” gym. They would either wait until I finished or ask to work in with their client.
Not to bash club 4 because I’ve never been there, but figured I’d throw in my $.02 in Project Fit.

There were multiple people on the thread on FB recommending Project Fit, and singing their praises.
A few of the local gyms, that I didn't even know of, definitely got their names out there because of that 500 comment thread on FB.

Project fit is run by a good person for sure. Is clean and has a pretty damn good layout. I am not a member but saw it and I 100% could it there.
Genesis in Westlake is still the best in the area if you are a serious lifter imo. Older equipment but got plenty of heavy shite and plenty of big strong arse guys in there throwing around heavy arse iron. Never crowded either. Great lifting atmosphere, like stepping back into the 80s or early 90s immediately. Very little cardio equipment though as it's more of a bodybuilding/powerlifting gym

There is now a comment on the thread from an ex of the GM of Club 4 basically calling him a stalker, and saying she had to file multiple police reports on him, change her number twice, and move out of the city because of him.
That dude is gonna have to move out of LC. God i hope hes at the gym today when i go...i want to point and laugh.

Seems like if I’m not a certified personal trainer and/or I’m not getting paid then they can get fricked.
One of the main draws of a gym are people working out TOGETHER and motivating each other.
Wish nothing but the worst for this franchise owner.
