What’s the P.E. Diet entail?

A cursory glance: looks like a protocol for a high protein, whole-food based diet. I can get behind that.

Cholesterol mostly doesn't matter
This is correct. Dietary cholesterol is not what causes high cholesterol in blood. Also, keto, with it’s emphasis on eating an extraordinary amount of fat, really can throw cholesterol out of whack for some people (me).
The best advice is lower fat generally, eat good fats, and significantly shift from a carb based diet to whole vegetables and high fiber. Sort of a modified keto. Increase exercise, reduce calories, and lose some weight.
Over the last two years I’ve lost 40 pounds, gone from a borderline type II diabetic to normal blood sugar and eliminated cholesterol and triglyceride problems. It really can be done with diet and exercise.
You can’t make any of these changes for vanity reasons. That doesn’t provide the right kind of motivation. You have to eat and act as if your life depends upon it, because it does. There are no “cheat days” when you are eating for blood chemistry.

Walking for exercise is great for reducing it among other benefits.
