It sucks that a lot of insurance doesn’t pay for these drugs.

Convince me that insurance paying for these drugs isn’t Equity as in diversity/equity/inclusion.

Just checked the prices on my insurance plan, looks like we’ll be doing this the old fashioned way…
Do you mind saying how much it was? Did you at least try to do some calculations on how much you might save in food?

My insurance covered Ozempic 100%. I had no hoops to go thru. Doctor sent in the script and it was ready that afternoon. It's a Cigna high deductible plan.

Probably. I'm 5-11 but a big wide shoulder baw even when i'm not pushing 3 bills... All my extra weight us up top. 220 was my lightest since high school and that's when i was running over 40 miles per week training. It would be a comfortable goal. Less than that and i'd start to look sickly.

Bumping this….

My post above was in May 2024. Started tirz in Sept 2024. I was 291.

Today I broke the 220 barrier. I lift heavy 4-5x per week, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been including in high school. I’m feeling great! I’m seeing muscles I’ve never seen before. This train ain’t stopping!

Congratulations. Hopefully, you’ve dropped the “I’m big boned and would look sickly at 200lbs” attitude and will keep going. It’s great that you’re lifting too.

this. you are not big boned, your shoulders prolly are not that wide. at 220, still obese, so keep going. you should settle in between 180-195 more than likely and be legit around 15% dexa scanned at around 180.

Hell yeah! Keep it rollin, bud. I’m making the push for 199 right now (203# this AM), I haven’t seen that since I was a kid.

I’ve been on Zepbound for close to two years and have lost 78 lbs, I walk two miles plus lift 2-3 x a week.

It’s really helped me and I feel great.
