Been out of the protein game for a few years, but always used ON protein. Is it still the gold standard or has something replaced it that is better?

Some ON products are on sale (30%) today on Amazon.

ON is okay. I recently switched to Truenutrition.com at the advice of this board and haven't looked back. It's a little more expensive, but it's definitely the best protein I've had (and I've had just about all of them).

None. Not needed.
I recently gave up whey after using for 10yrs. No change. Recovery is the same. Strength/size is the same. All that's missing is the farts.
Think of all the money I've wasted.

Only not needed if you are hitting your calorie and macros without it. Just makes it more convenient.
OP as far as your question goes, True nutrition is who i always recommend. Best price and quality.

Wait, what? protein has 4 calories per gram regardless. A good protein will have about 90% of the calories come from protein.

I’ve been using myprotein.com, great value and product

I just switched over to MyProtein. Great price and great product.

IdealRaw is the best option out there. It is a complete protein, which is rare in the plant based world, and far superior to whey in every way minus cost. If you're trying to be a body builder it may not be enough protein per dollar to justify using it but very healthy and offers much more than whey overall

Please tell us what it offers over a high quality whey isolate or casein? And does ideal protein have lab test available on each batch? My protein and truenutrition do.

Yea my protein is just as good as true nutrition. I like TN because their owners have giving a ton back to the community and one is the creator of doggcrapp training and has posted arse loads of free info.
Like I said though my protein test their product and in 3rd party testing has performed amazing.

Easier on the digestive system, promotes heart health, reduces chance of high blood pressure, great for skin (one of many benefits of the organic coconut it contains), strengthens immune system, and takes 90% fewer carbon emissions to produce compared to whey if you care about our planet at all
Posted on 1/2/18 at 11:25 pm to HippieTiger
Everything you just said is complete crap that has no scientific studies proving any of it other than the carbon emissions which I could give two shots about and honestly you prolly have no proof of this either. And please bring this to the police board, no place for it here.
Please don't take this as attacking you or your beliefs because I am not, I am just saying you have zero proof of anything you said. There is no study what's so ever that show whey or casein cause higher blood pressure than taking in protein from a plant based protein powder. As far as the coconut providing better skin, just add
Coconut to your shake so you can control the macros. Also lastly, plant based proteins do not have nearly as good of a amino acid Profile as milk or animal based powders.
Also many of the companies named here provide pea and other plant based protein for a really good price.

First of all, do you even know where whey comes from and how it is made? There aren't many scientific backings for dairy being good for humans
Second, do you believe there aren't scientific backings of the health benefits of certain plants? The same plants included in the aforementioned protein. My guess is you are sadly one of the many sheeple of this world

brother, you might want to read some of my post on this board before you accuse me of either. Sheeple my arse, if anybody is being a sheeple it is you. Touting the health benefits of plant based protein when it has an inferior amino profile.
let me guess you believe meat is bad for you too huh and that it causes cancer? You would do yourself a huge disservice if you didn't do more research into the science of all this and read actual studies and not rely on anecdotal or correlation bullshite.

Without even looking I will go out on a limb and guess you regurgitate the same ole shite people trying to get big and bulky have for years. Just because you likely look like the stereotypical southern meat head with way too much fat who can't run a mile doesn't mean you know a damn thing about actual health, fitness, and science.
Link me some studies, please, so I can enlighten myself.

and yea I can tell you haven't looked at any of my post as you are so off its not even funny.
All I asked is for you to prove the BS you stated. You haven't and attacked me. You still haven't answered why a protein with a inferior amino acid profile would be superior to another.

I will be more than happy to help clear up any misconceptions you have on these items if you would like. Please, lets discuss and debate.

And why in the frick would I run a mile? No reason to do that unless a dog or the police are chasing me lol.
Seriously I don't run long distance as its very inefficient. I prefer to do higher intensity items and if I am going to do long distance I prefer to row as its not nearly as hard on your joints.
Again I wasn't attacking you, just asking you to link where you read what you read. Instead you talk about CO2 emissions and begin attacking me.
