Became very obvious today that my right shoulder is larger than me left. Bicep too…

What is best way to fix?

Extra work for left arm?

Normal work for left and stop working right?

Added wrinkle is that have nagging tendinitis in my left elbow. I manage it ok but that could be a contributing factor and an obstacle for maxing hypertrophy in the left.

Thanks!

Switch hands when going manual.

I’m a total noob in the gym, but either of those sounds like it would work. Extra work for the left arm sounds ideal if you can handle it.

Any neck pain? You sure this isn’t a little atrophy and the elbow “tendinitis” is pain from a C5 or C6 radiculopathy on that side?

I have some numbness/tingling in my left trap sometimes. No pain though.

Im fairly certain it’s tendinitis. Had it for a while. Insidious condition tendinitis is.

I’m willing to be you’ve got some cervical issues. C5/c6 maybe even a little c6/c7.

Why do you think this? Which symptom is related? Or are they all?

Deltoid and bicep innervation comes from the C5/C6 nerve roots. Google the cervical dermatomes and see if it matches up to the tendinitis pain. The fact that it is two muscles innervated by different nerves but the same myotomes make it seems like more of a nerve root issue.

Yeah, I’m going to have to Google quite a bit in that. Lol.

Thanks! Who would I ultimately see? Chiro? Ortho?

Sounds like a C5C6 or C6C7 nerve issue to me.

I would start with a PM+R doctor for the workup (cervical spine MRI, NCS/EMG). If surgery is indicated (doesn’t sound like it currently), see a neurosurgeon.
