I have never eaten much for breakfast, but have been been really busy at work and forgetting to eat lunch for the past week. I have eaten dinner around 7pm.

The first couple days, I felt hungry and irritated by 2pm, but the last couple days, I dont notice any effects at all.

Is this something that is healthy to do normally during the week? Eating while at work is a pain. Id rather just finish my work early and go home.

Also, If i eat normally during the weekends, will I be able to jump back into the routine on Monday with minimal effects?

I do... often during the entire day I'll eat a pack of peanut butter crackers or a granola bar . Often I'm too busy to think about eating so it never crosses my mind . But then I get home and eat the large meal, unfortunately I don't cook and I wish I did as I eat terrible and that's what's keeping my weight up .

I only eat lunch.

Coffee for breakfast, lunch , beer for diner. If I eat three meals a day and drink beer I gain weight. Got to have priorities. Who needs exercise? I got a wife and kids I need alcohol.

Tried it before while doing IF for a couple of weeks but it got to the point where I felt extremely bloated after I ate no matter the amount. Now I eat twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, usually about 10 hours in between meals.

Who decided we needed to eat breakfast, making it the "most important meal of the day"? Why do we even need to eat "lunch"?

This is why I quit bringing lunch.

Once adapted, yes.

It is perfectly healthy to abstain from food for long periods of time, we wouldn't have survived and thrived as a species without being able to. Some people only eat every other day, or fast for multiple days in a row to fix whatever issue they need to sort out. When I get home, I feast for an hour or two. From morning through the afternoon, one or two cups of coffee and water.

There are plenty of benefits from being in a fasted state. Just listened to a podcast, Found My Fitness, by Dr. Rhonda Patrick, and although much of what was discussed went completely over my head, there was some good stuff about fasting. The most interesting thing I learned was your body starts "cleaning" itself of toxins better in a faster state. I've done intermittent fasting in the past, and it's not hard once you make the adjustment which for me was about a week.

I usually only two meals a day during the week - breakfast and lunch. Lunch is usually around 2, and usually just a salad. I do have a snack at night sometimes though, but nothing big. Cheese and salami slices usually.

Hi there, according to me breakfast is the main thing you need to take without any failure. Breakfast provides you the whole day energy. I tried most of the time to eat once in a day to reduce weight, but after some time I started following diet guide(LINK ) suggested by my friend which is working good for me in maintaining my health.
