Starting to build my own garage set up for me and the wife and looking at getting the Ohio bar.

How do you all like it?

There are some other bars on Amazon and sporting good sites for like 100 less, but i know what I'm getting from Rogue is unmatched so the money isn't an issue.

I haven’t used one, but I know it has a reputation of having insane knurling. Hope you like having awesome grip. Whenever I own a home and build a gym, the Ohio Elephant bar is what I’m buying.

I have the Ohio power bar and it's easily the best I've ever used. I'm sure the Ohio bar is just as good. I think 777 has one. G2G

Absolutely 100% worth the price

I have regular Ohio in bare steel. It's the best bar I have used, bar none. Much better than my Texas power bar.

The knurling is not deep like a Texas bar but very very tacky. Doesn't rip the hands at all.

I prefer to squat with no center knurl so the Ohio bar never leaves the rack unless going for Max effort on do, then I will take it out.

Overall would buy over any other bar. Stainless would be best imo but bare steel is a close second. Can't comment on the other finishes.

Don’t get a home gym. It ends up being a big waste of space

I ended up joining a gym close to my house and I’m very happy with it. I can’t get swole without honeys to eyeball

I’m gonna leave my shite by the road one of these days

I kinda went cheap and Craigslist and ended up with somewhat janky shite but unless you live in the middle of nowhere you can’t beat the convenience of a gym with regards to having what you need

If I didn't have my competitions to motivate me, I don't think I'll do that well at home. The "alpha" pack at the gym always motivated me to lift harder than normal.

I also have better equipment at my house (in regards to powerlifting).

I love my home gym and I love my Ohio bar. Coming from a gym, the knurling shocked me at first, but I adjusted a week in. It's handled 400-600 pretty regularly for 3.5 years with no issues.

I hated crowds and hated the bs equipment at commercial gyms. I have all my own stuff and get in there and do it. If you need motivation, get good music instead of the top 40 dance mix at LA fitness.

Its going to be mostly for my weekend workouts or when i get home and can't slip away to the gym bc of the kids.

Also it is going to let me incorporate 200-400 meter runs into my crossfit workouts again.

The set up we have on base does not let me do that.

After I body slam you. You got to buy my motz sticks

I'm also looking at the operator bar as well. Looks like the Ohio bar with Cerakote finish but just in military colors.

Probably the best quality bar you can buy for the money. They are well worth the price and will last a very long time if taken care of.

I use them and the Texas bar almost daily. It’s a tough call but I probably would go with the Rogue Ohio if I had to choose

I have the rogue Chan bar and couldn’t be more happy. Also have the Rogue monster lite flat foot power rack. It doesn’t need to be mounted in the floor and it plenty sturdy.
