Today was pretty easy and tomorrow looks to be the same. However the bench tomorrow looks to be pretty challenging due to ending with 8 reps at 75%.

Not participating, but I did my first squats in over a year today. I've been neglecting my health and fitness, and just reading through some of this thread made me want to go to the gym and hit it up.

Only 135 pounds ha, but I'll build it back up.

Don't worry about the weight, maybe 2 years ago I dropped my working squat max down to 150 and worked on rebuilding my squat. It was the best thing I've ever done lifting wise. Even now I'm not back to my working max before dropping down but my squats are solid. My worse reps now (form, depth, speed, balance, etc.) are as good as some of my best reps 2 years ago and I've almost corrected the muscle imbalance between my right and left legs due to an injury a decade ago.

Only thing bad about today were the curls. Tomorrow's bench stuff looks painful, but bench is probably my weakest lift.

Yeah I do very little arm work in my normal workouts. (I just do a pullup / chin up variation every day) ... so I’m feeling like a real meathead right now.

Just doesn’t seem right, no time for growth. Maybe twice a week but 6 times lol. That dude needs to be fired for incompetence and pure stupidity. Anyone that goes along with that program needs to be taken out to the pasture and shot.

First time I did a California Press. Hell, I didn't even know it existed.

Have the guys doing this program felt there has been adequate recovery time? I could see squatting 3 or even 4 days a week if you're smart about it but this seems like overkill?

I haven't had any issues recovering from the squats. General soreness after the first couple of days (78 reps day 2), but now I'm not even getting sore anymore. It's a good mix of high volume, heavy weight, or tempo variations. It isn't like we are hitting 80%+ of our max everyday. I can already tell my form has improved as well from "greasing the groove" everyday.

I have also upped my protein and carbs, always get 8 hours of sleep, and complete the 30 minute evening walk everyday which no doubt helps with recovery.

Recovery hasn't been a problem. The program writer does a good job of mixing up the volumes and intensities.

I also feel like we recover better than we give ourselves credit for to begin with.

I guess fridays are high volume days, 60 back squats along with front squats, rdls, and goblet squats.

Guy should be shot on the spot for even suggesting 5 days of squats a week and as far as I’m concerned everyone on this thread has lost all credibility with me that’s participating in this nonsense.

It's really not bad. I was worried about my knees but my knees (knock on wood) seem to be doing well with this. I find it exciting and it is only for 1 month.
