Alcohol and bactrim

Obviously I’m not going to drink beer against Dr’s orders, but I do enjoy a couple beers watching football/after work etc. On bactrim for another week, is it possible to not have any side effects having a non alcoholic beer?

I’d be more worried about yeast infections if I were you. Looks for any changes in your vaginal discharge

I’ve had some whiskey while on antibiotics but not a lot nor every day.

When I was drinking heavy I never stopped drinking when I was taking antibiotics. Never had side effects.

It’s not really side effects to worry about. Alcohol weakens the potency of antibiotics making them less effective. You’ll survive a few days without a couple beers

This. Also, I am a typical dumbass that stops antibiotic treatment as soon as I feel better.

Well, took my last dose this morning. Gonna go ahead and wait until Monday to crack open a cold one, let it get out my system. Feel more alive now 10 days without a beer. It’s been years since I’ve done that.

Maybe don't crack open a cold one on Monday then. I haven't met many people that regretted quitting the sauce.
