grats on the baby, and yeah doing this in the midst of all that probably wasn't realistic

me and mine have been under the weather and i didn't do any at all thursday. felt a bit better last night and tried to catch up a bit, got 450. have a total of 3494, with 156 pullups. obviously i'm not going to make it on pullups

[got 420 yesterday the 12th, haven't been keeping track anywhere but here. got 300 the 13th for 4214 total]

Tomorrow is the halfway point. Today is a good day to catch up or get ahead. Hoping to be at 6k by days end.

Today will be day 30 for me. I was cruising along smoothly then I was suddenly transferred back to day shift after a ten month stint on nights. This transition made the final week quite the grind.

My definition in my chest, triceps and shoulders has definitely increased. My bench press strength has also increased. Overall, it was fun and would recommend the challenge.

Total: 1250

Week 2 (4/8-4/14)

250
300
300
0
350
350
400

Week total: 1950
April total: 3200

Week 1 was 10 reps, week 2 15 reps, goal for week 3 is 20 reps and 400-600/day, if I don't die.

On the bright side my biceps, triceps, shoulders, and those triangle things between the shoulder and neck are getting ripped.

Chest is lagging but I watched the video someone linked earlier in the thread about proper form for chest so now my elbows are tucked in.

Wrist pain from week 1 is gone but now I am getting that tingling between the wrist and elbow someone else mentioned.

Also, I fricking hate push-ups now.

I am on the verge of throwing in the towel. After building up to 400 on Sunday I only got 240 Monday and 100 Tuesday.

Bones hurt. Muscles sore. ~6500 in the next 14 days seems unattainable. Maybe going from 0>10k was too much.

Ok. Now that I'm done bitching.

If you guys do 300-400 in a day how many are proper elbows tucked? Do you vary your hand placement? Are your elbows in/out?

I made it to day 20 and had to bail. My left pec minor has gotten super inflamed (as well as the tendons that connect with my shoulder). I used a lacrosse ball throughout the challenge but the reps were just too high.

Good luck to those still on the path

Vary your hand placement. That’s what I did down the stretch. Seemed to help with my soreness by spreading out the load so to speak.

On day 4 and looking to end it at 1300. Chest is pretty sore, but it's actually helped technically in weightlifting.

I've been changing hand placement and also the angle. I'll do a couple sets at incline and decline to vary it up.

ETA: Also Marc Pro big help with recovery.

Ok. Today for most of us - should be 2/3 through. So that’s 6,667 if you’re trying to keep it straight. I’ve adjusted my goals to the following:

12k pushups
12k sit ups
1k pull ups
100 miles.

10 full days left. This has been hard. Keep it up guys.

I'm at 7689 through Day 20.

Ive noticed a definite increase in my bench(after being at a plateau for a month or two).

After this challenge is over I might do 400 pushups every other day.
