January 2019 I went to the doctor to get my annual physical. I was 41 weighed 230 at 6'2. Cholesterol was 250 and BP was 140/110. Doctor told he he was giving me 6 months to bring cholesterol and BP down or he was putting me on medicine for both. This struck home as my dad has had 2 heart attacks.

I changed my lifestyle completely. I've always gone to the gym and been active, but my eating wasn't great.

6 months later I went back to the doctor. I had lost 50 pounds (180 pounds). Cholesterol was 188 and BP was 118/72. The doctor literally couldn't believe what I had done. He asked me what I did. I said I kept my same gym routines, but my eating habits got MUCH better. Grilled chicken, oatmeal with eggs, vegetables, avocado a day, apples, etc.

Now, here I am 2 years later weighing 195 ( I had gotten too thin at 180). Fell off the wagon during thanksgiving-christmas, but am back on it now

Congrats!!!
I changed the lifestyle in June 2019 myself. Best decision ever. When I turn 40 soon I’ll be in the best shape I’ve ever been in. Can’t wait.

I bet you feel like shite physically when you eat foods that aren't lean.

I went 12 weeks with ZERO cheat meals. After 12 weeks I didn't want a cheat meal. It just became habit. And I'm the type of person that can east the same thing everyday.

I also changed my eating habits to almost nothing but whole foods on a daily basis, cooking at home, lean protein, etc. and now when I eat fast food it feels insane how bloated and sluggish I feel.

I really feel like people just get used to feeling that way and it becomes normal.

A great incentive to not slip up is knowing you’ll shite your brains out immediately after.
