There it is. MOAR PHARMA

He just waits and lurks until GLP-1 is mentioned. Then he pounces.

If you ever need to know where to find him, just look for a local GLP-1 protest and he will be the little guy with the biggest sign,

What about it makes it unethical? We haven't had this exact argument as to why you are opposed to it. So let's try this one.

You’re writing people scripts after a 15 minute phone call… and advertising that you’ll do it on an anonymous internet board

It’s completely unnecessary for about 95% of the people using it

Can you elaborate on how you tracked this percentage?

A better guide than the arbitrary “unnecessary” you are using, I think would be:

Does it provide a meaningful benefit?
Do the benefits outweigh the risks?

The necessary language harkens back to my first comment. Your ego in doing the “right way” makes you biased against people that “cheat” to lose weight. You’ve made it a moral issue or just something to reinforce your ego.

At least that’s the way it appears through your comments.

The fact that we don’t know this is critically important.

I don’t care or view it as “cheating” as I’ve already said, nor do I give a frick about that. I care that we’re putting people on hormone therapy that is almost certainly going to have to be a lifelong intervention when there are proven alternatives that carry little to no risk and provide other benefits.

But keep making presuppositions to reinforce your feelings

That’s the way you want it to appear to make yourself feel better. Not only have I never made it a moral issue, once you assigned that thought process to me, I directly refuted it, and you brought it back to that again.

That’s the cool thing about telemedicine. It’s a pretty easy process. I like telemed for a handful of things in healthcare. And yes I like for weight loss.

All I do is provide an email and then I communicate with patients and arrange an telemed call. They pay for the medicine. There are only two contraindications and I ask these questions to everyone, in person and virtually. If it helps them lose weight, who am I to stand in their way.

I’m pretty sure you went to school for a long time as well, based on previous post of yours. I’d argue the same thing with you. How can you be so stupid to not see these medicines are helping people.

I’ll leave out the simple fact of weight loss that they are clearly doing. But also improving high blood pressure, arthritis, high cholesterol, heart disease. Your one sidedness to this whole topic is amazing.

In the short term, they are helping people do something that they could already do.

In the long term, the data is totally inconclusive

Do you take any supplements? Do you drink protein shakes? Do you take vitamins? With this argument, I sure hope you don’t because in your eyes this is cheating!

If they are a GLP then yes. Yes they are causing all of those things to get better.

This seems pretty conclusive… I mean not sure what else you want? Sure some people abuse them, starve themselves, still eat dog shite, don’t lift, etc… But for those of us who do the whole package and transform our lives and health, what’s the issue?

Yeah I know. I was lazy and fat and should’ve done it the old way with will power… No shite, the first pic clearly shows that. But it took these meds to make me realize that and change my ways.

Now I’m 16-18% BF, BP textbook, lipids textbook, lifting 5x/week, and eating cleaner than ever. I really think you should hop of your high horse for a minute and re think the constant hatred for GLPs.

Psychologically that may be true, physiologically, it’s absolutely not.

Congrats on the weight loss
