That's all I've been using is the pushup stands.

Static. I use the Power Stands from Beachbody. I like them a lot. Very sturdy, and having the static ones allow you to do crazy balance moves too.

get some. I have noticed that my shoulders have tightened up, which is helping my bad shoulders from my years as a swimmer.

i'm using "perfect pushups" out of necessity. i have to keep my wrists wrapped tight and in line, they're really bad.

Don't wrap. You need to strengthen them.
