I'm doing 35 every hour until I hit 350. It's not going so well

I know what Hu Flung lifts, as we've discussed it before...so yes, that would be a joke for him, hence why I responded TO HIM.

FAIL.

do them in groups, not every hour, you will burn out as the muscles wont recover completely. Better to try and do 2 sets of 35 with a minute rest, then wait 2 hours and repeat.

Just curious what everyone's motivation and goals are with this. Is it just to challenge yourself? To use as a bridge to a healthier lifestyle? Just wondering.

This for me.

I understand that 333 pushups a day is not conducive to daily drinking.

8:39. I wouldn't say that it is good, but going from couch to that in a week is a start

Actually, I would say that isn't that bad.

Boredom.

And to challenge myself to add this to the routine to what I already have.

not sure if Cap Crunch is still doing it but I'm gonna add 5k crunches in there just because I like to drink too much

You should do something else instead of 5k crunches…crunches suck

5,000 body squats would be much more productive IMO
eta: since you can do a squat faster than a crunch, maybe even up that number to 7,500

I'm still doing my normal workout so I really don't feel like killing myself with it all Seems like most lifts include the core anyway so I'm not worried And it's more along the lines of crunches and a few other different ab exercises I do.

What is a body squat and how is that faster than a crunch? I can pump out some crunches using solid form reasonably quickly.

A body squat is just squatting up and down with no weights

How is everybody keeping up with their number?

just finished my 8th set of 50...gonna knock out 500 today because I am not sure if I can do any besides a couple of sets after I wake up and don't want to get behind right off the bat.

It's only between us. But agreed shouldn't put it in here and discourage others. Everyone must start somewhere.

agreed. and I do post strategies to help those who are having some initial trouble.

but damn, everyone does start somewhere, which means some are farther along, and can have a different level of conversation.

yeah, already do 200 every morning as part of my warmup sequence, just gonna add a few lunch sets of 50 and then a couple at night. Figure about 5-600 a day

ETA: will be intereting to see if it affects any of my major lifts. But i plan on not doing them on sunday, and my heavy press day is tuesday, so I doubt it will have much effect.

I've done 0.005% of the challenge thus far! I think 7x50 should be ok for me. Definitely felt some burning near the end but I've kept skinny enough to not get burdened every push-up. Keeping up the summer swim training is helping I think.

pretty sure he already does more than 10k push ups a month anyway

I'm gonna try to do 500 a day for a while and then maybe a day or two off. 3 sets of 50, 3 times a day with another set thrown somewhere in between.

That's what I'm worried about. I am starting T25 on my "off" days. 4-500 pushups a day might not let me recover.
