My brother, former Army, decided to post this today...

quote:

Getting bored. Anyone up for a challenge? How about 10,000 push ups in a month? 333 a day, for 30 days? Could be very interesting.

Anyone wanna join in on the funs?

333 a day, which is ~28 a hour for 12 hours a day. I broke it down, offshore tour work.

I think its doable. Thoughts?

Definitely doable if you're in good shape and do chest/push-ups regularly.

i did a 10,000 pushup challenge with a forum group once. I probably did about 500 over the 30 days. I wasn't the top contributor but probably in the top 5.

I will be happy to do this again.

Doesn't Herschel Walker do 10k a day?

ETA: 1500/day.

Still, he laughs at 10k a month.

That doesn't apply when doing bodyweight exercises. You can do push-ups every day if you are in decent shape although 333 a day for a month might be pushing it.

Not really in shape, but not heavy overweight etc either.

225lbs 5'11" 32 years old.

I figure, if I can make it thru the first week, it will just become habit and wont be a big deal.

I tested and I can do 43 straight before I give out. 28 a hour seems ok.

Why not just do them all at once and get it over with?

Add more to your thread title so it doesn't get anchored.

When is the start date?

Agree with this. 30 per hour isn't that much even for someone in moderate shape.

The problem is, it's 30 per hour nearly all day every day for a month. Gotta be motivate

I agree. I think we should start Aug 1 so it would be a calendar month and people would have the opportunity to get prepped.
