Gents,

My buddy is starting a movement out here with all donations going to Gary Sinise charity basically wounded warriors..... anyway, the idea is to attempt to lift 100 tons over a 24 hour period... the cause is great and it doesn’t matter if you finish...

Question is: is this even possible?

I have done the math and it seems fricking close to impossible

If you are interested and want to try and donate please let me know

I could do 100lb leg presses for hours on end, probably, never occurred to me to try.

Now that I think about it, that's 2,000 reps at 100lbs, let's say 10 reps/minute, that's about 3 1/2 hours of continuous lifting. Could be done in about 6-8 hours if you're in great physical condition.

I’ve done 225x100 for time in bench. Took me 5:30 or so and that’s 11.25 tons.

225x100 bench
225x100 Squat
225x100 deadlift

Can you do this every 6-8 hours x3?

..and I just did 65 reps on DL at 205 with 65 24” Box Jumps sub 9 min last week.

I think I could. That's 800 reps of 250 on deadlift. I mean, that's gonna suck, but I can see it as possible.

If I could alternate exercises, that would help. I would worry my back would die after that much deadlifting.

Every hour:
225x13 on Bench, Squat and Deadlift

I could do this tomorrow.

105.3 total tons

37 reps an hour of 225

Or 45 reps an hour of 185

I think it's possible but I think it would suck

62 reps an hour of 135 lb squats. 2 sets of 15 and 2 sets of 16 every 10 minutes followed by 20 minutes rest. It would be boring AF but doable. You may not be able to walk the following week.

ETA 30 minutes rest since the first set starts at minute zero.

This sounds like a bad idea. Can I just donate money?

That wasn't stipulated in the OP, but if that's the case, absolutely no way I could do it with my back issues.
