I might try the Cobra's. 760's look meh and the Ping Sigma's look like trash. All subjective, I know... was trying to sell my Ping Vault Oslo in anticipation of the new line, but I'm not sure If I want anything to do with em.

Thoughts?

TAYLORMADE 760's

COBRA MB

PING SIGMA 2.0 (WTF are these)

Tops not so bad

I tinkered with the Ketch 2.0. I really like the alignment lines.

I don’t know why they don’t show the club at address in these pictures. I always like to see how it would look as if you were using it.

760’s — WTF? Love my 790’s but don’t want any part of the 760’s.

Cobra forged — love the look but curious what the circle in the sole is? Probably just weighting.

Sigma 2.0 — Nope! They look cheap compared to the Vault 2.0 line.

I like that Ping increased the head weight of the Anser to 350g. The last model’s head was too light.

Those Cobra’s are beautiful. And a relative bargain with s tapers for 1099. The plugs are tungsten.

760 aren’t good looking but I’m interested to see how they perform, have all the tech

I switch to the Tyne H a few months ago and have had really good success with it.

I really like the black club appearance but I can't get used to looking down on it at address. I can't trust the alignment. Guess it just doesn't contracts enough with the ground. I'm also not sure about the durability of the finish.

The cobras and the putter, absolutely.

I think Taylormade just drops products to see what ridiculous shite they can push on the consumer and for how much. The twist face and now the “speed foam” have totally turned me away from their brand.

Except both speed foam and twist face have both proven to be a success at both the tour and amateur level.

The tour guys could hit anything, I could not care less what success they’ve had with guys like DJ, Rory, and Tiger who could hit bombs with any driver. I’ve heard from multiple people who have either tested or gamed it that the improvements are not there.

I can’t speak for the speedfoam, I don’t have any personal reviews with it. But given the way Taylor made releases products and their marketing, it’s going in the gimmick column for me.

This argument isnt applicable here, IMO. Not flaming, just being real. All manufacturers have been proven to work for both amateurs and tour pros. I think companies like TM and Callaway release models of "game changing tech" a little to frequently to be considered revolutionary. Taking the same filling that PXG has used and throwing it into a club head isnt that revolutionary if someone else is already doing it.

Ping, however, has taken the approach that a hollow head is better. TBD on the results, but a least its original.

What kills me is when Callaway gets an airplane engineer to design their club head... or rents a big bad super computer to design 14 billion head/face variations. They aren't even trying anymore. But it sells, so it works for them!

Didn’t Taylor Made make a Burner Midsize iron in the early 90’s that had something injected in the head? I seem to recall they had a plug type thing on the toe of the club.
