Will Tiger get a pass for withdrawing because he’s playing bad?

Whenever other guys do this most casual fans around the sport make comments about how they’re weak or not competitors and what not.

I feel like since we all love Tiger most people are going to give him a pass and just let him use the leg as an excuse. Now I’m not saying he’s not hurting out there, but if he was in contention he would suck it up and keep playing, since he has no shot he’s dropping out and using the leg as an excuse

Yes I agree Tiger Woods has never won a major on one leg or anything. Absolutely no competitive fire

You don’t think he’d be playing better sans the leg injury?

He’s playing like shite because his leg doesn’t work. It’s an actual reason, not an excuse. Can’t fault the guy for giving it a go.

I tend to lean this way as well, but I lean that way with most guys when this happens.

But if this was Brooks, JT, Watson, Reed, DJ, Bryson, etc… lots of people would be calling them soft or saying they don’t have the competitive fire.

He still made the cut in the PGA Championship. Tiger on one leg is still pretty damn good compared to all the PGA members. But of course he's not as good as he used to be. I'd like to see him win at least one more tournament on the tour before he totally dominates the Senior Tour.

Tiger didn't cause anyone to miss the cut by giving it a go today.

It's worse form to WD early in the first round, or if another player(s) would have made the cut if you WD before the round.

I don’t care about watching Tiger play when he sucks.

He could have used a cart if he wanted, since Daly drove one

I agree those guys usually don’t get the benefit of the doubt but I like to think they would if their leg had been mangled a year prior.

Tiger has said recently that he wouldn’t use a cart. If it came to that he would just retire.

Even if they almost had their leg amputated 15 months ago? Dumbass.

Bryson

Well.. Bryson WD before the start of the tournament. There is video of him bombing balls on the driving range.

I don’t recall anyone anywhere saying anything negative about Bryson this week.
