If so, then we met probably quite a few times that day lol! It's always a great tournament with a great turnout, I played in the Loreauville tournament that next weekend.

The Rusty Ruiz tourney??? I played in that as well....

Yep played in the Ruiz the last 3-4 years. That one is always fun, I'm sure we crossed paths before probably played a few times as well.

I use to hit it ok now it's mostly hit and miss like most people. I been practicing alot lately had a grip change recently so been putting more time in my game the last few weeks

What did you think about the format this year? 2 foursomes and swapping scorecards with no mulligans? Pencil whippers weren’t happy!!!lol!

At Santa Maria currently. Impressed with the condition of the course. It’s been well over a year since I’ve been here.

Good to hear. I was out there a few weeks ago and it was in good shape. The only minor complaint was that the fairway grass was a little too low, but that was at a point when it hadn't rained in like a month. Hopefully the rain since then helped it grow out a little.

I loved it actually. The group we played with were good guys, never knew them but I enjoyed it. I was worried about how long the round would take, but it went really smoothly. We actually played it in less time than the Duhe tournament. We played really well and loved the fact that the other teams couldn't cheat it really leveled the field

Just finished at Pelican Point. Fairways were in good shape and greens were fast as shite compared to what I normally play in North La. took 12 greens before I finally left one short.

I never call the pro shop, I know they changed over to a new system since it’s been purchased and isn’t going anywhere, I was there this afternoon and things were being changed over so maybe the phones was down, when do you wanna play? We need to tee it up best thing to do is book it online, or guest fees are $55

National Golf Club of Louisiana
Fairways and greens were decent.
Course needs some manicure.
Grass long around tee boxes, etc.
Greens were sandy and spongy.
Like putting on carpet.

Played down from the back tees.
I played like dookie...
I did almost nothing well..
Driver was meh...
Wedges were shite...
Three 3-putts
6 Fairways
6 GIR
34 Putts
Shot 88

I was able to get out yesterday for the first time in the 3 months since my son was born. Maybe I need to take a three month layoff more often. Tried the #Play9 initiative and went

Par
Birdie
Bogey
Bogey
Par
Birdie
Bogey
Double
Par

+3 = 39, best Ive struck the ball in a while.

Tried a few things on my chipping (using 3 wood (on the double), and playing more bump and run). Driver was straight and screaming and had good run-out on fast fairways.

Putting was decent, a few 2 putts (including an eagle opportunity) but quite a few one putts. No 3 wiggles.

As for the location, I was coming back through Alexandria and met my dad at Links. I've seen talk that it was in rough shape but I can attest that is as far from the truth as it can be. The fairways are pristine right now, best I've ever seen them. The greens are working their way back and you can tell the crew has done a lot of work to get them back. Still one or two greens they need to get to, but overall I'd say the course is 8/10 right now.

That was only about the green losses due to cold.
