Tournaments where the pros are able to have high under par scores or a challenging course like Oakmont where the pros are barely under par.

Really not much difference if you think about it.

Couldn’t agree more, there’s only a couple times a year, where these pros look like actual amateurs

Augusta is the answer. Hit bad shots, make bad scores. Hit good shots, make birdies.

His point is that you can hit good shots at Oakmont and be punished. That's only really happened once from what I recall at Augusta (Tiger hitting the flag stick on 15 in 2013).

if you hit more good shots than anyone else in the field, even at oakmont you will win

Hard courses. Its annoying to watch an easy course where you know the leaders have no chance of dropping shots to come back to the field.

A 3 shot lead isnt safe at Oakmont

I prefer to watch them suffer. Just POWs trudging across the green wasteland.

There is nothing I enjoy more than the British Open. I love when they end up in bunkers that are so deep that all you see is the top of their hat when they go to their ball. I also take joy when they have to go into weeds so deep looking for their ball that the odds of finding the LochNess Monster first are about 50-50.

Challenging for sure. Outside of US Open, the Memorial has had the highest cut line and scoring average for a tournament .
