What supplies would I need to start re-gripping clubs at home?

I would love to start doing this for myself, as well as friends and family. Thanks in advance

Lighter fluid, tile knife, two-way tape. Watch YouTube videos. It’s easy.

A bench mounted vice is nice as well

It's really pretty simple. They make a hook blade so that you can get it between the shaft and the grip without scoring the shaft. Golf shops and amazon sell kits that come with the tape, solvent and the hook blade.

Process is remove the old grip.

Remove the old tape. This is sometimes easy and sometimes tedious. Depends on how the old tape comes off.

Put the new tape on.

Squirt a generous amount of solvent on the tape.

Slide the new grip on and wait for a few hours.

Bench vice
Padded shaft protector
Hook blade
Double-sided tape
Paint thinner or grip solvent
Tray to catch the spillover if you're cheap

Put club in vice with shaft proector (make sure it's lined up properly), cut off old grip, remove tape, retape, squirt a fair amount of solvent in grip(with thumb over hole), shake, empty solvent onto new tape, slide new grip on, check for correct position, done. I also bang the end on the ground once or twice. Worst is when you don't have enough solvent and the grip gets stuck halfway.

A good vice

When you purchase regripping kit, it should come with tape, fluid and shaft protector for the vice

All you need from there is the new grip and utility knife and you're set, it's real easy

Learned that one the hard way a few times

You want to see how much patience you have? Try taking off a grip that got stuck with not enough solvent, without cutting the grip off.

Now I put so much solvent on it, it slides on with me barely touching it

I don't know if it makes much of a difference, but I always squirted lighter fluid into the grip and shook the fluid around. You can use the excess fluid from the grip and apple to the tape.

Grips always seemed to go on easily with this extra step.

Rubber shaft holder that you use in the vice. Don’t expose shaft to the steel jaws of the vice for obvious reasons.

Hooked blade razor knife and get the Brampton grip solvent. 100x better than lighter fluid.

Bench mounted vice is a must. I did it for a while without, it’s so much easier once you’ve got a vice.
