I’ve played all the Mobile ones
- Crossing
- Falls
- Par 3
The Shoals ones
- Schoolmaster
- Fighting Joe
I’ve played Grand National Lakes
I’m playing Hampton Cove in Huntsville -Highlands course next weekend
My favorite was probably The Falls in mobile
Schoolmaster was awesome and really hard, I played the tips just to do it and it was 7600 yds….
Overall every RTJ course I’ve ever played has been incredible, I’m excited for Saturday.
Which is everyone’s favorite?

Cambrian Ridge is my favorite.

Really like Hampton Cove and Ross Bridge. Looking forward to Ross Bridge reopening (some idiot mixed herbicide and killed the greens)

Years ago I played Cambrian Ridge and Highland Oaks.
I enjoyed the par 3 courses as well.
Strangely, the par 3 courses were never crowded, but these were not pitch and putts. Some holes measured well over 200 yards.

I played the Oxmoor Valley courses last week and was talking to a marshal about it. Being a farmer, I can see how it happens. You’d be amazed at how many dip shits are mixing chemicals in this world, and the companies making it aren’t doing them any favors. A lot of chemicals boxes are similar looking, like font and color of lettering, and they have similar names too, but damn what a screw up.
I liked the Ridge course over the Valley at Oxmoor. Valley was a little easier though.

The Capitol Hill complex is amazing.

Tough decision but narrowed down to two Ross Bridge and Oxmoor Valley Ridge Course only a few miles apart.

Cambrian Ridge is probably my favorite. It has also never been crowded like some of the others when I have been there.

I played both of those courses in April and I agree. I liked the Ridge course more. I’ve played 6 RTJ courses and the Oxmoor Valley courses have been the best so far. Our trip was originally booked for Ross Bridge but Roundup and putting greens don’t mix well.

Hard to beat the 3 courses at Capital Hill. Judge is awesome.
Ross Bridge and Oxmoor are sweet too.

For the love of God, can people fix their ball marks on the greens? I just don't understand anyone that has played golf more than five times in their life not fixing ball marks and raking bunkers. Played Ross Bridge a few years ago and the course was in excellent shape except for the greens. There were no less than 100 ballparks on every green.

Senator is an arse kicker. Greens are concrete.

Capital Hill .
I broke a vertebrae and blrw out a disc on the Senators Course the first day.
Still played 36 a day for 2 more days.
On the plane ride back to Houston my left arm went dead, drove to emergency room and had surgery 10 days later.
Good times....

By far my only complaint with the Oxmoor Ridge course. When you had a clean putting line, they roll so bad arse though.

That's those damn bent greens - RB, Oxmoor, Hampton Cove, Shoals...they all have bent greens. I think Ross Bridge was moving to Champions and the herbicide mixup sped the process up. Who knows. But I'm with you - the pitchmarks on every green took something away from the course.

I’ve played
Magnolia Grove - Crossings 3x
Magnolia Grove - Falls 2x
Magnolia Grove - Par 3 18
Grand National - Links
Grand National - Lakes
Grand National - Par 3 18
Lakewood Golf Club - Dogwood Course
The Falls at Magnolia Grove is, was and will probably always be my favorite. Such a peaceful, scenic track. Plus I’ve got great memories on this course as a youngster.
Next up for me will either be Oxmoor Valley or Cambrian Ridge. Trying to save Capitol Hill for the trail completion swansong
