You don't need to do any of this. I'd bet my paycheck that The reason why you're coming over the top is moving the upper body first in the downswing.
When I get to the top of my backswing, my arms and hands do nothing but hold the club and go along with my lower body turn.
If you try at all to use the arms from the top you'll be OTT.

Struggling with all kinds of shite. Putting is close to being as good as ever, Irons are probably my worst right now, with driver and wedges not far behind.
I used to be money from 100 and in. If I hit it in the water on a par 3, you could write bogey on the card because I was going to hit it to <10 feet and drain it. Those days are long gone

Yips with chipping.
Recently loosened my grip a little with chipping and my accuracy/placement has been great. Good luck

I occasionally get the chunks. I push it back in the stance and aim it a bit further right.
I'm more likely to miss right if I don't get through it, but beats a chunk.

How do you start your downswing?

Have you ever tried not releasing the club? Or at least trying not to think of releasing?
The release should happen after impact and must happen, so anything you do to try and make it happen with your hands/arms is probably actually hurting your game.

I am shanking 2/3 of my iron shots right now. Haven't been able to fix it. if anybody has some advice I would apreciate it.

Get an empty box and set it a couple inches on the other side of your ball when you're at the range. All a shank is is your hands going out instead of down and in. There could be many reasons why you're doing it. But with the box it'll force you not to swing out at the ball.

Not a fix, but it will make your round more enjoyable. I have the same issue, so I tee up with the ball out in front of my forward foot. Gives time for that head to square up. It's going to feel weird at first, but try putting ball forward in your stance (way forward for drives and just a little for irons) and see if that doesnt help

My driver and it's 100% mental. I do just fine on the range. Can shape any shot. When I step on the tee, I push & hook.
I'm a 7 handicap but I'm playing to a 10 lately because I simply can't find any consistency off the tee. Puts a lot of pressure on my short game/scrambling abilities.

I'm having trouble with enough time off and mother nature not letting me play.

Played a round of golf last week and struggled big time with my irons. Hitting Fat and blading them. Decided to spend some time This past Saturday at the range and worked out the kinks. I forget how important grip and maintaining proper posture through the golf swing is. I just focused on these two things and it made the world of difference.

I am struggling with driving myself to the golf course...other than that, the rest of my game is pretty shitty!

Struggling with driving the ball consistently. I'm upgrading my 20 year old Taylormade to a Ping G10. The new driver arrives today and I can't wait. I will see how the bigger club head and graphite shaft help (old driver is steel shaft), but will probably need to just choke down and shorten swing until I get consistent doing that.
