Somewhere around a 2 and 3 handicap. Had some changes at work and haven't picked up a club in 5 months. I've bought a new driver and Mini Driver around 2 months ago and haven't hit one ball with them.
I'm gonna say I'm probably not going to be there. Even though match play is my game

Scores aren't as low as I thought. -6 is leading right now.

Played a bunch with the two guys at the top. They can swing it with anybody when they’re hot

They played 11 as a par 4, not a par 5. It was a par 71.
Still would have expected it to be lower, but maybe they had some tough pins/wind.

Heard there were a few mud balls. Course was a little wet.

I told you what would win it.

Were some of y’all expecting a couple 59s? -8 still won it, that’s pretty low.

I said 7-9, TDTOM said 11-14.

For 2 rounds? Not really. I thought there would be a 65-67 or vice versa. Somewhere around there. I did not know they were going to play 11 as a par four though. That was pretty much a guaranteed birdie as a 5.

Not sure why they did that either. I imagine they tucked the pins and I know BC is probably like everywhere else right now, hard and fast!

I played in the event and the conditions were tough. Course was in solid condition. Wind was whipping but it was still quite hot. Pins were tucked but nothing too crazy. #11 playing as a par 4 was a bit silly. I went 5-4 on it for my rounds.
I played with a guy who shot -5 for the day. He was very impressive. Beaver just demands some tee balls and gotta hit greens.

I heard the greens were kind of slow. Did you play with Eli?

I thought the greens were fine and rolled well. Yes I did. I’m one of the guys at the very bottom of the leaderboard. Character building exercise for me. Good experience and now back to the grind.

Eli is a great dude and a hell of a player.

Agreed. Awesome guy and has the game to take it to the next level - mental and physical. I’m definitely a fan now. Look forward to watching his career going forward.

Anybody catch this on the golf channel this evening? They had 15 year olds hitting drives 395 yards. Good Lord
