Now that a bunch of people see the party atmosphere it will attract people that wouldn’t ordinarily go to a golf tournament.
And We know from the LSU football experience that nothing benefits the game more than people attending who have no interstate in the actual game (as they’re just there for the party). A party atmosphere should certainly lead to more quality golf.

It leads to more fans which in turn leads to more players which in turn leads to even more elite level players.

That was a very entertaining final round, I think you can now see how the team thing adds interest.
This is the thing I didn't expect I'd like. But it gives even the bottom of the leaderboard guys to grind it out for the whole tournament. Also, they genuinely seem to like it and have a bit of comradery.
I just assumed Chase Keopka was there so it would help them sign Brooks. Like The Bucks did with Giannis brother, but he seems like he's actually a good golfer.
Bryson is getting into the "this guy will never win again" territory.

Byrson looks like damage goods now.

I don't know about that. Good golfer compared to the world, definitely. Good pro, I don't know. He's finished in the top 10 once in LIV. This season his best finish is 24th. It looks like his average finish in two season is somewhere in the high 20s out of 48 golfers.

That is 100% why he’s there. It’s the same reason Zurich offered him and Alex Fitzpatrick spots, to get the brother.
He’s a good golfer relatively speaking, but not compared to other pros. He has 1 top 10 in his professional career in a non Challenge Tour (basically Europe’s KFT)/LIV event.
I think he’s one of the biggest examples of an argument you can make against why LIV is deserving of OWGR points at the moment.

I watched it extensively for the first time this weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fair enough. For some reason I thought he had a few good showings.

The PGA is stale as shite because they abandoned the rest of the world.
Ummm ...outside of one stop in Canada, Mexico and a Caribbean island...when has the PGA tour been anything but a US based tour? How can they abandon something they don't do. What they haven't done is encroach on partner tour's territory (ie taking the tour to.. Johannesburg)..while making allowances for PGA Tour players to play overseas -for the betterment of the game
So not sure how you can say that the PGA is stale because they abandoned the rest of the world. Seems like you are just throwing something out there and hope it sticks

Right now they have 9 events in the USA & Mexico
Which is why I don't understand the "more time with family". The overseas stuff is a 9-10 day trip on avg then throw in Majors ( for some) on top of the LIV schedule and... They aren't home much more if at all.. Then Jordan or Finau at ...23 events

They're probably only adding an extra day away for an overseas event. They aren't playing Thursday so one of those travel days is moot. So you have 7 tournaments when your week is longer and 7 when your week is shorter. Their schedule averages out then they play 9 less events that Jordan and Finau and always get paid. But I guess the PGA players that do go play the outside of the country events somehow manage to do it in less travel time while also playing an extra round.

LIV makes players play 14 events outside the majors
Let’s just deal in facts ok? So, in theory, the pga is allowing the players to choose more family time than LIV if you want to go that route. But let’s just cut the shite and stop pretending that means anything to anyone

Too bad I don't live in the eastern hemisphere.

Like the fact that I was responding to a guy that talked about Spieth and Finau playing 23 events? I wasn't comparing their schedule to someone who played 13 events.
14 > 13. But I also know that 23 > 14 regardless of a few extra days of travel over the course of a season. Those two are not the same.

But one is CHOOSING those 23 events. The fact is, if you truly want the most family time, PGA is the way to go
But like I said, let’s cut the shite. That isn’t an issue for anyone

Traveling to Adelaide isn't an extra day... Going from FL.. You are in the air almost a full day. Then the dateline.. But they will stay from sat ( leaving FL) to aus. Spend that x week there... Then stay in Singapore.. And come back after the round this sun and get back Mon and and sleep till Tues also do that for back to back wknd in Spain and England events... But less a day. Then do Saudi Arabia. ... So yeah I bet they do spend 38 days traveling/ overseas and that doesn't include a open stint.. So another week. But that is in summer so school kids can make that
But... They do have an extra day at home for the state side events

But the 23 ...4 are majors and the same ones that LIV are wanting to play...so 23 vs 18 and not spending 6 wks overseas to do it
