I have never hit this driver.

But every time I sit it down, it's looks awesome. I love the shape, the infinity crown and the face angle.

I love the Qi10 Fairway woods, but I know that a different feel.

Anyone play it now ?

I had a stealth 2 driver, started to get some separation on the club face, so the local Taylor Made rep gave me a brand new Qi10 LS head as a warranty replacement.

I can’t hit it. I hit the stealth 2 great, but the Qi10 tries to correct my shots. Fade sometimes turned into draw, and vice versa. 2-way miss for the first time in probably 30 years.

I went to a professional club fitter and spent 3 hours trying to find shaft, head setup, anything that would eliminate that but nothing would. A friend of mine who is pretty good bought it from me, because he just hits it straight.

So personal observation, if you like to work the ball, it’s not good. If you just hit it straight it’s fantastic. I like working the ball with my driver, so it just won’t work for me.

After 10 minutes of hitting a Callaway ai smoke triple diamond I was on to shafts and grips. I’ve got pretty good control with it and I’m hitting it further than I’ve hit balls in years.

Brother, I am more than ok with a straight ball.

I hit way too many hard draws, if it would straighten that out some that would be fine.

I can't hit a fade to save my life.

I can hang on hard and hit a block shot right. But that can be trouble too.

I feel that way with any forgiving "Max" driver.

I’ve played Titleist drivers for so long. I know I am biased.

I can’t square up a TM driver to save my life. However, I almost exclusively play their fairway woods.

Golf is weird for sure.

I think I might go put the Qi10 against the Titleist GT2 Saturday.

I think you’d really like it then.

I keep telling my buddy I didn’t charge him enough

Is there water or OB right?

I could do it. Just come over the top, and open the face.

Figured I would ask this in here instead of starting my own thread.

Looking at splurging on a new driver. I currently hit a Calloway Rouge Max LS.

Ball flight is mostly a fade and sometimes straight. I spin the ball a lot which kills my distance.

If money wasn’t an option…..what would be your choice driver for my spin and ball flight.

I’m looking at the Callaway Smoke or TM Qi10…..I’ve hit all on a sim but never really get a true feel until on course. I’m open to suggestions and I’m not a brand whore. Just want distance and low spin.

The AI SMoke hits bombs. I dont think you can go wrong there.

Getting fit into the right shaft will help you with the spin issue.

Callaway ai smoke Triple Diamond.

I had a professional club fitting and it worked best for me. I can hit fade, draw, whatever with it pretty much on command.

Getting the right grip and shaft is critical. Mine was over a grand, so you could say i didn’t care much about price, and I’m hitting it further than I have in years.

Have you tried the PING 430 MAX 10K? The Mizuno 230 MAX is suppose to be VERY sneaky good too.
Both considered the most accurate and forgiving drivers. Not super long and as been mentioned, probably not something you'd work the ball with.

Noted……

I was looking at going with a Tensei 55 stiff shaft or Denali 60 stiff.

Buddy of mine actually has the Triple Diamond he will sell me right now but those shaft options are what he has available. He is a golf club whore who has the TM, Smoke, and Titleist and he’s sticking with the Titleist and selling the other two.

My driver swing speed is on average 102-105, thinking of getting the 55 stiff and doing that. Want a little lighter option. He has a 60 X-Stiff he can put in, but I don’t think I need to be swinging an X-Stiff at my speed. Although a buddy had one in a paradigm and I smoked it.

I’m around 100, hit 104-105 if I push it.

Aldila ascent red 50 stiff is the shaft
Mid-sized plus 4 grip (very important)

IMO if you swing extra stiff you’ll likely lose everything to the right

TM seems to break more they should. Something always seems to come loose in the head. Source other dudes in my group.

I haven’t played Taylor since my burner plus 9 degree circa 1989.

I have a ping g430 lst and love it.

Well, I'm going to wait now because Ping G440 is coming out in the fall with a new driver that is supposed to be super fast.

They have already marked down the G430 drivers.

May put that 55 Stiff in it and just go change grips at the local shop.

Thanks.

The LS is extremely low spin! I spin it normally high and got 12-1500 out it. Switched to the normal Qi-10 and it’s great! Way better than both stealth’s imo.

I had a sim2 max and thought it was the best driver I’ve ever had. Hated the stealth when I tried it, but I was hearing good things about the Qi, so I bought the max head to put on my shaft which I was fitted for previously (tensei av raw orange 60 stiff).
The Qi10 max is now the best driver I’ve ever had lol. It’s absolutely awesome. I love the carbon face and how it feels on center strikes. I can also hit the damn thing almost all the way on the heel or the toe and it still goes fairly straight and far enough.
It’s just an amazing club and don’t see myself switching to anything else unless TM comes out with something better lol
