Anyone watching the tournament in Japan? Seems like little interest due to the huge time difference. Shame that this is an official PGA Tour event and if Tiger holds on to tie the career wins record, very few people will see it.

I have been watching every night because it's in prime time on golf channel. He is playing good and putting great!

Live coverage of his final 7 holes with 3 stroke lead resumes on golf channel 5:30 p. m. CT today.

I am tuned in.
Tiger will tie the record today and break the record in 2020. It will be a record that will never be touched again.

what is the thought process behind this course with multiple greens on several holes? I’m just chalking it up to Japanese weirdness

IIRC, the first course in Japan had greens for summer and winter and then basically every course after copied it.

I was stationed in Japan for two years. I didn't play the first course built but most of those I played had the two sets of greens for the reason you indicated. It was so long ago I can't remember what strain of grass was on each green.
