The rules of golf will never make sense to me from someone who has a touch of the tism

I just can’t make any rational reasoning for so many golf rulings. Some of the drops the get, the ridiculous incorrect signed scorecard rulings, etc
But now we have someone who cracks a driver and they can’t replace it? Why? Why the frick not?

Why make that call in an important tournament like that? I'm hoping we see something from the tour about this stating it was the wrong call.

The tour official made the right call under the USGA rule. He probably didn't agree with the rule either.
This is a perfect example where a long standing rule needs to be modified because of the manufacturers keep pushing the limits of materials and thinness of faces.
