My opinion of course, but watching Morikawa shoot a 64 today, just wow !

Being able to eliminate the left side is a huge advantage for a golfer. Just aim at the left side of the fairway and let it drop in the middle.

I wish that I could dump my draw for that shot.

What a shot on the 16th to win.

If you say you have a draw.. just aim at the right side and let it drop in the middle, same shite

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way for me. When my draw gets just a little sloppy it becomes a hook.

The power cut you can hold on to the handle and hold it.

There is a reason that the best chose that shot pattern.

When I adjust to play my fade, said fade fails to make an appearance

I use to have a power fade that faded into a slice.

Power fade can become a block or slice quickly too / same issues with draw. I admit tho - the pros make the power cut look easy and badass

I really like that shot but to me it’s not the best shot in golf. Now you do see a lot of elite players go to that shot when they need to stick it in the fairway so, maybe there is something to it. Like said above everyone should have a go to shot. Some courses favor a cut or fade. Some courses favor a draw. I for one need more practice on finding a swing with my driver that when things go wrong i can use to keep in play and keep me in the game.

I did qualify that it was my opinion. My opinion is based on my own experience when I use to be able to hit a power fade and I made myself learn to hit a draw which I regret but I have to play what I have now.

It is almost impossible for the average golfer to be able to play a fade or a draw on command.

The best feeling shot in golf is a pull hook and of course it can be disastrous.

Like Trevino said, You can talk to a Fade, but a Hook won't listen !

Can someone teach me how to not slice!?
It is really ruining the game for me.
I am getting better and better with my irons.

You could be slicing it for numerous reasons. Getting advice on here will most likely confuse you.

In the end, you're coming across the ball. And one of the things I've learned about driving, is what you probably believe will fix your slice, will only make it worse. You slice right, so you line further up left, and then slice even worse.

Either get a lesson, or watch some youtube videos and understand the mechanics of what causes a slice. Rick Shiels was a good youtube series that helped me.

Do you have a natural hook to your iron shots? If so, it's likely you're delofting the club to try to compensate for a crossing swing. That's simply one of about 10 things that can cause a slice.

Fix a slice

There are other ways to address a slice but I go back to this.

This. Movement is movement. As long as it's consistent. Dont try to change your current movement because a pro hits that shot. I use to play straight golf... as I've changed, I now hit baby draw with irons and slight fade with driver.
