I like it. They said before it started they would be teaching how it works and different things through the broadcast since it’s the first one. I think it will get better next week but good first night.

I really like the concept. I’d play it

I don't like the intermission part. Keep playing.

This is the dumbest shite I've ever watched. Reminds me of that Top Golf league they had a few years ago. Absolutely ridiculous.

Too bad there was no drama in the first match

I’m on the fence. I liked the pace. Announcer was bad. DJ Khalid was the worst. Need more banter/shittalk. Need bad lies and slope where the ball is sitting. Get more creative with the hole designs (they hired Nicklaus?! lol - mix it up and make it more like clown golf).
I think it has potential. Likely LIV v PGAT in the future. I love how they said “bad blood” between the E & W coast teams.

Multiple press bets can add drama. I’ve been 8 bets down going to the last hole and finished 8 up.

I am not sure if it was mentioned, but were they automatically alternating shots between teams until they got to the green? If so, I would like them to completely get rid of Marty Smith, have minimal play by play, and show more of the team planning their shots beforehand. Ideally, it would be:
1. Team A takes shot
2. While Team B is walking up to shoot, the cameras and mics show Team A discussing their next shot on the screen
3. Team B takes their shot.
4. While Team A is walking up to shoot, the cameras and mics show Team B discussing their next shot on the screen

I enjoyed it, it was exactly what they said it was going to be. They hit real golf shots into a bunch of technology, it was a fast, fun, not so serious version of golf. I think people just like to bash anything that is new, if you didn’t like this, then I don’t think you were ever going to like it because it was exactly what they promised it was going to be. They’ll clean up some of the little things as they go, and if the match was actually close, it would’ve been a lot more entertaining, but it’s not like the league can control that.
Like someone else said, it’s very similar to watching YouTube Golf. If you don’t like that, you probably won’t like this, But I enjoyed it
I did turn it off with 45 minutes left, that’s because there was no more competition since it was such a blowout.
I like seeing some of the players personalities come out hopefully they will give us more of their chatter next time and less announcer.
ETA: it’s not to be taken as seriously as a real golf tournament and if you tuned it wanting to treat it like that you were probably annoyed.

Watched about 15 minutes and couldn't take anymore. That was freaking awful, omg
If you watch this I don't want to ever hear a "I can't watch LIV because of the music in the background". You catch a glimpse of the music from time to time on LIV, most of the time not hearing it at all. This had rap music blasting almost the entire time I was watching it (I like rap music so the genre wasn't the issue), so loud that you couldn't even understand the announcers or make out any of the golfers conversation. I get it's not trying to be a serious league like LIV and I'd want music playing too if I was there, but just for broadcast/viewing purposes it was a disaster.
That place is incredible though, I'd love to go there, but that was pretty much unbearable. That's coming from someone who loves watching golf.

It seems like it's already been shown over time that almost all of these dudes just aren't that interesting on the course and actually not good and busting each others balls. The PGA Tour vs LIV match they just had that was supposed to be a big rival match ended up being a dud and unwatchable because they barely even spoke to each other and didn't have any chatter/smack talk. The biggest smack talk moment in recent memory was when Tiger gave JT a tampon on the course when he outdrove him. It blew up and people thought it was the funniest thing ever when in reality it was a pretty terrible joke. That's the guys you're hoping to be entertaining, they just aren't.

I don't think anyone was expecting that. It was exactly hat they said, it just wasn't interesting and the broadcast was just awful. I'll give it another shot next time to see if the announcing because it could easily be something I have on in the background. I can't imagine it ever being something that is riveting TV/something that I ever care about who actually wins.

This is a great point. These guys are great golfers. They’re bad content creators. Imagine Fitzpatrick or Schauffele trying to pull off what Bryson does on YouTube…

That is why they should introduce booze to the deal. Loosen them up like at the Ryder cup press conferences.
