Shoutout to Cannon856 for last week’s shot of the week with his 2nd ace.

Since we had a pretty good response, thought I’d do it again.

With one round to go, best shot of my week…90 foot putt on the putting green this morning. Last one before I headed to the tee, got a standing ovation from the guys around the green.

Don’t ask how the actual course went.

I like this thread idea. I actually came here the other day after my pitch in with the intention of starting a similar thread. Glad you did it first. We should definitely keep this up.

There used to be a weekly how'd you play/what did you shoot thread, but I like this concept better, because even if someone played poorly, they usually had a great shot at some point in the round.

Played Frenchmans Bend in NELA this weekend and on hole #14, a long par 5 with water in front and right of the green, I finally reached the green in two. Nice drive with a little draw and a 217 yard 4 iron to about 15ft. 2 putt for the birdie.

I typically lay up on this hole because I hit a fade and the trees wont allow a fade on this hole, but I was able to hit a draw and thats what gave me a chance to pure a long iron

Nice. I did similar this week on a shorter, but uphill, 475 yd par 5. Drive it to 214 yds. Use the 4 iron & end up about 10 feet to the left. The eagle putt sat just to the left of the cup. It's foolish for me to call it a disappointing birdie.

No such thing in my book. They are too rare. I typically shoot between 82-88, so I am always thrilled to see a birdie on the card

20 ft chip in for birdie. Slight left-right break. What's funny is I walked up to the chip and told myself this chip looks makeable. Maybe positive talk works.

Round was average.

Pretty heartbreaking story for me this week.

I'm not going to get to play until Saturday.

Lots of decent shots today, best was the birdie putt on #9 at the judge.

Hardest putt to make is the straight one, and this one was about 15 feet straight down the hill. Never left the center of the cup and went in dead center.

Played in the PIG scramble at Beau Chene yesterday. barely missed a 35 ft putt then took my one mulligan and made it. Not so impressive but that’s all I got

Best shot doesn’t have to be a joke out from 250.

Sometimes it’s going to a wicked breaking 5 footer. Things like that can be real momentum builders that turn an ok round into a good one.

Really had a great couple days of striking my irons Friday and Saturday. Got a few choices for shot of the week, but I'll settle on this one.

Copper Mill, hole 17, dogleg right par 4. Was 2 up in the match, so a tie closes it out. Wind is off the left. Hammered driver a bit left of my line, but it's a safe miss down the middle of the fairway. Left with 143 to a front right pin. Hit a beautiful PW to less than 2 feet to win the match.

Playing at a friends country club in Dallas. Par 5, hit a great drive and I’m 205 to the flag, nothing in front of the green but grass. I ask my buddy if I’m crazy to think I can get it there with a 7iron (my 180 club but I’m feeling good), he says “yes you’re crazy”.

I hit the 7 iron, lands on the front edge, takes a hop and slams into the flag stick, kicks left about 8ft and I make the eagle putt.

Sometimes in golf you just feel stuff and know it’s going to work, I wish it happened to me more than once every blue moon

Played in a scramble Saturday at Cypress Bend.

Played from the white tees so plenty of short par 4's. Was cranking my driver all day. 16 tee gives you two fairway options to choose from, left is a more open, less punishing tee shot and better angle to the pin, just leaves a longer approach. right fairway has tree in front and 6-6 bunkers, two greenside. I bombed a drive that was a pin seeker and split the two greenside bunkers and settled 5 yards short of the green on the fringe.

Also drained a 40 footer double breaker. I did have three reads on this one before so not super impressive.

56° from 115 to 2 feet on #12 at Webb.

Been struggling with wedges recently so this one felt good.
