I stepped on my spyder platinum and i swear it's bent. i want to try a Scotty but if i'm gonna drop that kinda of skrilla i want to get one to last for awhile. Do i need to go to a bigger city to purchase, my local shop just has a selection of 10-15 or are the same everywhere.

how far are you from an edwin watts?
if you liked your previous putter you could get it reshafted for cheaper than a new putter. i personally love the spiders

The shaft is bent or did you manage to destroy the head somehow?

They are more or less the same everywhere. You can get some custom options but obviously custom means more money. I would do your research and make sure you know which one's you want to try and see if that means traveling to a bigger city to get an expanded selection (i.e. the Select line, Futura line, GoLo line).
Once you find what you want, I might suggest Discount Dan's golf. They have accounts direct with manufacturers and are a legit operation despite how the website looks . Everything I've ever bought from them has been priced below any other store; prices are amazing. They are based in Oregon so there is no sales tax. They also offer free shipping so if you are talking about dropping $300 on a putter, you can save 25-35 bucks if you don't mind waiting a week on the shipping.

I'm still using the Circa 62. Model 1 and have used it exclusively for over 10 years. Will be a very sad day when I retire him.
Durability is not an issue.

i just stepped on the shaft and since then i havn't been able to drain a 30 footer, i like the heavy pendalam feel but i hate the way it looks i feel like a tool bag when i pull it out.

I just checked this out and their website looks legit. Must have recently changed it.

Oh poor pitiful you.. Pros make these probably around 5% of the time

Tour players make that 7% of the time, 3 putt it 5% of time. I think your expectations are a bit high. The average from there is 1.978 putts. From 33 feet, they 3 putt as much as 1 putt.

maybe I should step on my shaft and see if I can make a 30 footer.
ETA: I'm a Scotty owner, mine has made 0 impact on my ability to miss 30 foot putts.

Oh wow, yes that is a big difference. I ordered a 3 wood from them last November and haven't checked it since. Much better.

1) I'm guessing you meant 3 footer.
2) reshaft it baw
3) Snap that shaft off and pop it in the mail to me. You don't want that no more

Out of curiosity, if you haven't tried a Scotty Cameron putter why do you want to spend that much to buy one?
You could buy 2-3 decent used putters on eBay and put a new grip on them and give yourself some options to bench one when it is not performing up to your expectations.
Now if you have tried a particular Scotty and fell in love with the feel, then by all means go for it . . . otherwise it will always be in the back of your mind. But that does not appear to be the case from your original post.

I have two scottys...squareback and newport....neither immune to three putt but it looks nice in my bag

I bought my bettinardi on hype alone. There's nowhere to test one out in South LA. I called around. Was one of my better golf purchases.

I am certainly not immune to buying something based on hype alone. I am a self-confessed club ho. I am currently gaming a Odyssey White Damascus putter that was never released in the US (mine is all Damascus whereas the US version was insert only) that I found on eBay one night when I was bored.
I was merely suggesting that the OP might look elsewhere if he hasn't locked-in on a particular Scotty yet. But once you get locked-in it's all over with!
