Non members can play 3x max per year.

Me too. Played it at least 5x last year.

Really started being enforced in 2022. 2023 is strictly enforced.

Does this include the 9 holer?

Both courses. If they catch on, you will be handed a membership packet to review.

Yes both courses. But the Lakes Membership may be the best deal in the state. $89 a month and you can play the Links after 3pm for a cart fee.

No. it’s fully open to the public.
Negative.. Just joined recently and that was stressed to me pretty explicitly. Mainly do to the fact that ownership wants to make it fully private.. Which I'm good with

Wonder how much revenue Pelican would lose from non-members playing it occasionally.

Good question. But I booked a couple of tee times for Friday and Sat.. and the sheet was nearly full up on Tuesday.. So we've got members playing and enough to keep the tee sheets filled..

Pelican capping at 3 is interesting.
Greystone is the opposite. They are a true semi private and unless you play a ton of golf or want to take advantage of member only tournaments, there isn't a good reason to join, imo.
I think Greystone would possibly have more members if they went private, but it may not be enough to justify gong private. Capping the yearly rounds could be a good middle ground.

The $25 cart fee at pelican is what keeps me from joining. Should be like $10 for members and $25 for non-members

It’s $28 now.
I’m a Lakes member and mostly walk, so it doesn’t affect me much. Lakes course is super walkable. Links course has lots of long stretches between green and the next tee box, so they got you by the balls there.

Round it up to $100 a month for the Lakes course with no cart fee and I'd sign up tomorrow. It's like paying for shipping. I would just feel like I'm getting robbed paying $28 everytime I go out there while already paying $89 a month

There has always been a cart fee. They recently increased it due to the new carts. You can always avoid the cart fee by walking.

I'd like to say that I'd try and walk if I was a member somewhere, but if I could roll a cart plan into the membership, I'd do that and just act like the cart plan was a required part of the membership and it's sunk costs.

I'm good with it. I got the anniversary deal a few years ago and they rolled it over, so I paid like $200 up front for 3 years I think, and all I have to pay is cart fee.
To me, $25 (or $28 if that is what it is now) is a hell of a deal to play that course. That's about what I'd pay at Webb or Beaver Creek to play a round.
