He has no control off the tee; changed to a new driver this week.

He is 170th strokes gained approach to green. That where he is losing his strokes.

Surprised one of you fanboys didn’t start a thread about how they didn’t show all of his shots from his +5 round today

It's a hard course. There are final scores in double digits, but last years final was -5. Perfect weather today, but it will be hot (90s) and windy (15-20mph + gusts) Friday and Saturday. Winds are from the SW, so 6 will be into the wind. 18 will be with the wind, but pushing toward the water on the right.

I do wish Sam was playing better. He seems to really go off at the Valspar. Guess that one "fits his eye" better than others.
Can't cheer him on this weekend as we will be heading to NOLA for a wedding.

Played Bay Hill a couple of times. My best score is 86.
Member tees are at 6547, tour tees at 7454. 6547 is at my limits for fun golf. Played with a member at 6835 and that was a long day. Member tees seem kind of long, but I guess BH does have an above-average membership.
18 is truly a beast. Fairly long for the average golfer. I'm a low 80s golfer. I hit more long irons on that course than any other in Central Florida.

Orange Tree CC, right down the street from BH, is considered the tougher Tour/practice course because it is narrower, just as long, and considered to have the best greens in all of Central Florida. Shot 79 there.
Blind squirrel.

Saw him at Squire Creek last month. Was playing behind my group and hitting it about 315. Playing for $100/hole.

Followed him on the net a few weeks ago out in Ca. Wasn't in the fairway much, and when he was, putter failed him. Golf is hard.

This isn’t a good sign

All golfers go through tough stretches. He’ll get back on track soon…hopefully.
