I guess suspending a player that never plays on tour didn’t crater them.

Was a great final round. Really enjoyed it. JT really needed that win to regain some confidence.

+5% (+200k viewers) is a massive increase? Obvious that 2024 numbers were impacted by weather delay

What is this

Wesley was supposed to play in Puntacana & RBC is a signature event.
Seems weird to try & relate the two

Meanwhile Grant Horvat is playing golf with Phil, Rahm, & your boy while he (GH) has an invite to play in a PGA Event.

It would be terrible for the PGA Tour if LIV wins over the YouTube golf crowd

Did anyone claim there would be a ratings hit?

You post this when LIV Miami actually saw a 119% increase in viewers from 2024

LIV posts atrocious ratings for Miami

& now you spin this thread for a whole 5% increase? you’re trying too hard

The very thread last week started with this as the entire purpose in the OP which got tons of support

With this suspension and the backlash to it, I could see all of these channels becoming pro LIV or even LIV backed channels, which is going to be a big hit to the PGA. These creators have a lot of sway on your “average” person who likes golf.

Clearly a long term effect & PGA not going to see a big immediate impact.

Like I said though, it would be terrible for the PGA Tour to lose the YouTube golf guys to LIV…. Would hate to see Grant decline the invite to Barracuda

So the answer is no. No one said this would affect ratings this week. Thanks.

So how many weeks exactly do we need to wait to see the big hit the Wesley Bryan suspension will have on the Tour?

So he was right about 1 thing so far?
I mean they’ll always have the Fore Play guys who have financial incentives with the PGA, but seeing Grant post a new video with Phil, Rambo, & Josh Allen of all people has to be tough for a PGA bro (& bills fan) like you

YouTube has been very good for LIV golfers.

It has not yet translated to actual LIV viewership.

RBC posting their best week since 2002 is definitely pretty notable. Circumstances obviously matter, but I’m sure the PGA is happy about it.

I’ll assume this is true, but it was a 5% increase from 2023. Pride claiming a “massive ratings increase” due to a weather delay/low numbers last year seems a little misleading

The Sunday number for RBC (4.36M) on CBS was the largest for the final round of the event since 2002. For the weekend CBS averaged nearly 3.3M, up 62% from 2024.

Maybe not on their viewership numbers, but their “creator classic” roster sure took a hit

Any “live” golf event on YouTube isn’t nearly as good as the edited videos IMO. The creator classic and the LIV stuff hasn’t been good.

I so enjoy Grant’s content with Phil that are edited though.

Will be interesting to compare past creator classic numbers with this one though.

These “creator classics” suck arse almost always.

Even the one the PGA did at sawgrass was terrible. If I want to watch Trent shoot a 50 on 8 holes I’ll watch foreplay.

PGA & LIV both need to stick to tournament golf. I can’t believe these YouTube debates even exist sometimes.
