Played in my club championship this weekend. One of the guys was using a PuttView Greens Map Book. He briefly showed me how it works but does anyone have experience using these green maps?
Also is Puttview the best or is there a better option?

I almost bought one but I don’t see how they’re any better than a GPS phone app.

I went ahead and ordered the Puttview Yardage/Greens book. I’d rather spend the money on an online subscription like GolfLogix that has similar green slope data. The puttview book does have good info but my main gripe is that the green heat map and slope percentages are both on one page typically. It would be better to have a larger single green image one page. Would be easier to read.

Was about to order puttview last night then I looked at golflogix. Doesn't seem like the golflogix book is as detailed/good, but does it come with full access to the app along with the physical book?
Edit: Went down a rabbit hole and found another one called StrackaLine and it looks really nice. Saw some good reviews online comparing it to Puttview.

Would make the book no longer USGA legal

I want to pick up a couple for the courses I play regularly.
Seems like it would help a good bit.

Just ordered the StrackaLine. Reviews seem to be that the books are made a little better than the PuttView and more clear on the actual paper. Just did the green view.
They have a promo code SL20 for 20% off.

Problem with these books lies in the type of grass on the greens. Those books don’t account for the grain in Bermuda greens.

Stracka Line is the OG. They been doing it for decades. puttview is fairly new over the last few years with some employees from StrackaLine deciding to go at it alone.

My strackaline came it. Pretty quality book.Ready to have a day with the course to myself so I can play a little slower and test out the break lines to see how accurate they are.

Strakaline FTW is playing an away course for money or tournament.
I taught my sons to use them when they were playing competitive junior golf It shaved at least a shot off each round. It helped when traveling to new courses for practice round.
