Cypress Lakes, like Grand Ridge, seems to have lost a ton of trees. They posted a facebook post this week showing some of the mess. Eye wall just seemed to sit over St. John & St. Charles

Several trees have fallen from homes onto the course as well. Cart Barn took some damage to a side wall. Some damage to the club house.

Greens and Tee boxes seem to have dodged the bullet.

Will take a few weeks to clean up for sure.

Any word on Riverlands or Belle Terre?

I was told yesterday by Cypress Lakes that they plan on being down until next weekend. Are there any courses that are currently open in the Nola area or by this weekend by chance?

Riverlands

FIL is a member there. I play there very often. I asked him how it made out and all he said was it lost a ton of trees.

Anyone have any news of TPC LA?

I tried calling but no luck. I have a voucher for a free round that expires sept 30.

Pelican Point recently got power back and is opening the courses for play tomorrow. They said no real damage to the course. The only main issue was no power

Bopper, you and I must be from the same part of the state. We play/played the same courses on a regular basis. Perhaps we know each other?

Timberlane’s Clubhouse and restaurant took some bad damage and they’re unsure when they can re-open the actual buildings.

The course is fine however and they hope to start booking tee times next week.

TPC just sent a lengthy update.

Lost 500-700 smaller trees and about 120
Large cypress trees the most notable being the large one on the approach shot on 11. Right now they estimate being closed till
Mid Oct-Nov but it remains to be seen.

I wonder if they will extend the valid dates for the Zurich volunteer vouchers. They currently expire on Sept. 30th. I sure hope they do.

That tree on 11 was important, but not as much as the one in the 13 fairway. Let's hope that one is still standing.

Played Atchafalaya yesterday, still has potential to be one of best tracks in LA. Unfortunately, I think this is the best it will get. Greens weren't bad at all, just very thick. Its a place to get cuts in while Ellendale and La Tour recover. I saw a pic of La Tour today, apparently a FEMA site. Hope they raking in the $$

I live in Sugarland Tx, I normally play around Lake Charles area 4 or 5 times a year.
