The NOAA imagery just shows the northern end of the property and it looks pretty bad. Hopefully its back soon. Also hope the tree on the middle of 13 is still standing.

Link to this NOAA imagery? I can't find it

Anyone have a Pelican Point update? I know power is still out over there, but can't imagine those courses would have suffered much damage.

Got it thanks. Yeah you can't really tell too much from what they have. Looks like they are redoing the driving range. Clubhouse looks in good shape.

I passed Greystone yesterday but could only see 11 & 12. Didn't see anything major at all down

First hand knowledge or speculation??? I'm a pass holder and they only sent out an email saying they are closed for the foreseeable future.

They closed for a year after Katrina because they made more money with their Insurance business disruption policy than staying open.
I have heard rumors that the closure for Katrina is the only year they have made a profit. And since you are a BH, you know who is in charge.
My speculation is the BH and public will not play until after the Zurich.
I hope I am wrong.

Cool link but as far as seeing storm damage — not seeing it (on my
Mobile)

But considering TPC’s proximity to that transmission tower I wouldn’t be surprised to see some damage

I got an email from Carter Plantation to make your tee time for Labor Day. Wow? I wonder if this was a pre-planned email blast that went out on a schedule or if they’re going to hurry up and make it playable. I’m too lazy to find out as I’m out of town playing in Austin this weekend instead

Probably pre-planned email blast. They posted on FB that they would let everyone know when they would be reopening. Not sure how well the course faired

The course looks good other than a couple of trees on tee boxes. Needs a good mow but I don’t know shite.
Update is that the clubhouse took it way worse than the course and that the front nine should be open soon and the back to follow later

Anyone have Ellendale status?

We got an email from Ellendale yesterday. We lost 150+ trees and there is damage to the club house and pro shop buildings. They’re working to get the range and practice area opened first and then will focus on getting one of the nines open and then the other.

Anyone know about the BREC courses? How’s Santa Maria or Beaver?

Not sure about those two. Played Copper Mill Saturday and it’s in great shape. Greens are still by no means fast, but they roll true and you can be aggressive on them.

Played The Island today. I would say it’s in OK shape. Greens aren’t bad (punched 2 weeks ago). There are some bunkers in bad shape, but you can tell they are working on getting them back to playing condition. Rough is pretty thick. Fairways are decent.

sounds like the trees in my mom’s yard (but not as numerous). fricking sucks. Those trees made that course really pretty.

Did their bar survive? Cause they had a stout bourbon selection.

Grand Ridge is only a few miles west of TPC, and lost an estimated 300+ trees and has major clubhouse/ pro shop damage. The brunt of the Eastern eye wall sat on Luling and surrounding areas for 6-8 hours with sustained winds 120-125 mph and up. Avondale's not that far away. I'm sure TPC took some very heavy damage.

Santa Maria and Beaver Creek didn't sustain any significant damage other than a few trees down. We played both of them over the weekend and were in good shape except that Beaver punched the greens last week so in another week they should be good.
