Played with a guy who has remastered golf clubs from the early 1900’s

This is the second time I’ve played with him actually, I think I may have posted about it last time too.

He’s a young guy, late 20’s I’d say

These clubs are incredible, he paid thousands of dollars to have them refurbished and restored to their original condition. His clubs are all circa 1910-1940 and in perfect condition, these things could be in a museum. He says he likes playing the old game, although he does use a modern ball.

Here’s the thing, he SUCKS, and it’s not the clubs, he can barely make contact, he shanks half his shots, can’t putt, thins and chunks wedges routinely. I let him hit a tee shot with my driver and he shanked that too.

Not that I care about other peoples skill, it’s just a funny juxtaposition, he reveres the game so much he spends serious money to play antiques but he’s absolutely HORRIBLE.
